As expected, starting QB Ben Roethlisberger will not be starting the final week of the season against the Cleveland Browns this Sunday at noon, neither will starting RB Le’Veon Bell. With Roethlisberger not playing, that leaves the coaches with a challenging decision to make, whether to start veteran backup Landry Jones or fan favorite rookie […]

You play to win the game. Even with the starters out. Landry offers us the best opportunity as he has had the work with the number 2 team all season long.

I think we need to know what Dobbs can do. We already know what Landry Jones can do or not do. With this game not really mattering it's a perfect opportunity. Plus if you can't beat the Browns who can you beat?

Dobbs is not the answer in the last week of season.

I can’t even believe this is a topic of discussion. If Ben should go down during the playoffs, who are we going to call? Not Dobbs. Landry has had virtually no live reps during game time this year. He’s had very few 1st team reps in practice since regular season began. The choice is obvious.

If the Steelers currently had home field advantage and all they needed to do to secure it was beat Cleveland, would you still rest the starters? No? Then why the hell rest them when there is a chance to secure that very thing? JFC! We need to be sure the Patriots beat the Jets before we forfeit the ******* game to the Browns!

We can see what Dobbs can do next preseason. It's Landry's game.

Yall really still doubt Landry The Legend Jones

I'm assuming (and agree) that the coaching believe they can win with Jones. Will be interesting to see what happens, if at halftime, we are tied and Pats are tied.

WoW, and if by chance the CHEATRIOTS lost??????????? Dobbs can be found out what we've got in training camp and preseason next year. We still have an outside chance of HOMEFIELD and I wouldn't be ready to concede that just yet. We've conceded about as much as we can and still have a good shot at winning come Sunday so we are still a fighter's chance.

TOTALLY agree with you but there is a better angle to look at and my friend Cope mentioned this

The odds of a key starter getting injured is greater than the odds of the Jets beating the CHEATRIOTS .

I don't think CMVLT can give up more than what he has said to this point and still have a legitamit shot to win. Now watch the score board and if the CHEATRIOTS are smoking then yes, pull some more starters and if not (cheaters having to play on a level field have a chance of losing), then you push the substitutes and coaching moves up a notch and get the win.

"Fan favorite rookie Dobbs"???

Really?

Which fans?

I think this is absolutely tied to ben and bell and a few others resting dings and other minor injuries... its hard for me to think anyone is 100% right now... two weeks of low work is probably best for those guys, since homefield vs the Pats won't matter if they are hurt...

Landry starts, no question. If late in the 3rd quarter the Pats are smashing the Jets AND we're behind in some crazy scenario then maybe think about getting Dobbs in the game.
