Seriously. I have been a die-hard Steeler fan for my whole life and it’s getting to the point where I no longer enjoy watching games anymore. Playing bad teams. Knowing we are going to play down to their level and very likely lose a game that we should dominate based on talent. Is it Mike Tomlin or is it something even bigger? Why do I have to go into a game against a terrible team that’s 2-10 and feel like were probably going to lose? It’s always something. Last week, refs. Today, Ben’s injury...

Maybe it’s a lot of teams, but this isn’t what Steeler football used to be.

Our defense at times shows times of promise but in crunch time they fail like today and last week and the week prior...

Can we pull it together before Ben goes or is this it???

So bummed we blew this opportunity...

This is it. If they don't go after a few star defensive players in the offseason then this train is reaching the end of the tracks and going off the bridge. I don't see the coaching helping us win even if they get lucky to land some great corner or DL.

I think the cba runs out after next season as well. You can pretty much figure in a lost season when that hits.

IMO it’s time to start trading away pieces for future assets.

I think we might have to rely on Ben. He's going to have to pull a fire Tomlin or I'm retiring to the Rooney's. Unfortunately, I think Rooney's would take Tomlin.
Ben has to be sick of this same garbage every season. If he retires, I wouldn't blame him a bit.

The deficiency starts at the top. Cut the head off, until then you will see a slow death,

My question is how can the Rooneys watch this incredible poor coaching display week in and week out and keep Tomlin ? No one who knows football can ever say we are a well coached team or that Tomlin is good or even competent on game days. The league talks and I think that is why we have trouble bringing in good coordinators or coaches, see Norv Turner when we tried to hire him.

I don't see any amount of talent fixing the defense, they need at least 3 new coaches including the DC. Too many missed assignments and horrible mismatches to be just a talent issue. As talented as the offense is, I don't think they're good enough to cover all the warts on defense. I would love to be proven wrong, but I foresee a repeat of last year.

The issue is twofold... Butler is a very nice DC.... except he isn’t as good as lebeau at teaching zone and we are bad at it now... and we don’t have more than one playmaker in the secondary and that’s probably because the safeties are used to hit rather than ballhawk...
