Why do the Steelers expose Blake so often in coverage?

We all know he sucks the blame should be squarely on Tomlin for keep rolling him out. Doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results is the definition of insanity. When you have a moron as head coach these issues are repeated yearly, see Jonathan Scott, Cortez Allen and SeanMahan, all Tomlin players he started over and over.

Pens is starting to remind me of someone hmmmm

Lol, whenever i see the use of that word, thats the first thing that comes to my mind too.

Hopefully the Blake experiment is over. Whether it be injury, or above the neck play, the common denominator of our defensive effectiveness is when Blake is sitting on the sideline, the defense improves. I'm glad that his performance did not cost us a win yesterday, but IMHO, it's time for a new starter and Boykin to be the 3rd corner if **** is named the starter.

I would have ended the Blake experiment before the season and kept Brice McCain.

Now the Steelers just need to end the J Jones experiment.

Does an OLB only have to "make sacks" to stay on your roster???

If he starts in a 3-4 defense, he should be able to generate a good amount of QB pressures and sacks. 2 sacks for a season and few QB pressure is not helping the team enough.

Pass rushing is primary to the job ya know...

Most here know Jones is a weak link.

As I said before Jones is the worst season starting ( Not a 1-4 game next man up ) in 20+ years.

And you revisionists forget Tomlin also cut his *** after about a month of play. I'm not defending Mahan (he's the worst starter to ever suit up in black and gold IMHO), but Tomlin didn't keep him all season or pretend he was better than garbage.

Ummm..... IIRC Mahan was traded back to tampa bay after 1 full season of starting for us... I am pretty certain he was a starter every game that abysmal season he was with us... they signed Hartwig in the offseason and he got pissy so they traded him.... IIRC that is.... and I'm and I'm old for a guy who hasn't reached 40 yet

Which of our 4 olb's do you see doing this?

Damn, I must have repressed how bad he was with my hate for him. I can't believe he made it a full season. He was terrible.

Some things were so bad they are forever burned in my memory.... that was the season Ben had like .5 seconds on a third of the pass plays because of immediate pressure up the middle... and we never ever adjusted... it was just so bad.... That was the Heir to the legacy of steelers Centers... 3 HOF caliber guys...An all pro... then Mahan.... arrrrggh... I need a beer....
