In many posts one will be accused of being a hater, or having homer view points etc. So I will pose the question why are some teams hated and others not? Examples.... the Ravens....the Cowboys......the Packers......The cheatriots.
The Ravens are a rival that plays with intensity. The division is almost always a battle involving us and them and when it is not the games are still played that way. In the heat of competition tempers flare and actions slightly outside the rules of good sportsmanship are often in play. If the Ravens were in another division there would likely not be the same level of hatred. This team will likely always be hated.
The cowboys have been hated since they were given the title America's team by the media after the steelers turned it down. Back in the early days of the super bowl era one had the finesse team the boys vs the steelers which relied on brute force and blunt trauma to achieve the results they wanted. It didn't hurt that they were crying in the media about things and then became known as the Dallas Cryboys in the minds of Steeler fans. In later years Jerry Jones and his buy a championship team came into play and he became an owner through his publicity actions and other things that both the fans of the steelers and many of the fans of the cowboys hated as well.
The Packers have been a competitive team since before the super bowl era. They have in many years played hard hitting games against the Steelers but have never been hated. Even after beating the Steelers in a super bowl they were not hated. The same can not be said for Chris Kemo who missed a key block, Rashard Mendenhall who lost a fumble at an inopportune time or the guy that missed the block that resulted in the pick six Ben tossed. So no one really hates the Packers they just seem to be another competitive team.
The cheatriots. The name says it all. I won't try and speak for others here but only myself. One thing that I hate more than anything is someone that feels the rules are for others and not themselves. I am a former police officer and that type of behavior brings out more hatred from me than just about anything. You see doing the right thing is very much part of me. Prior to the involvement of Belicheate and the patriots in cheating were they even a blip on the radar? I have to say no. Did I care they changed their name or logo nope they were only another team much as the saints were only another team.
Enter the tuck rule. It sure looked like that game was manipulated and the better team was cheated out of a win. Next we have indications of cheating again in the illegal filming of other teams and to make it worse it looks like the owner of the team might have used some influence to hide the evidence so that the extent of the cheating will never be known. No one likes trying to compete in a rigged game and that is just what it seemed like when ever the cheats were involved. They were finally caught again cheating in a new way and it appears the denial and attacks on the the persons showing they cheated continue as of old. The coach appears to be nothing but a slimy old ******* who continues to cheat regardless of the consequences and the owner seems to try and cover up and hide the truth like any good media mogul engaged in yellow journalism.
Now on to the hatred of the patriots and everything about them. If it were not for the cheating for more than a decade I postulate they would still be just another team. Further I suggest they would have no championship trophies in Massachusetts as all were attained while cheating. That is the sole reason I hate the cheatriots and everything about them so completely.
