Why, though? Why would it be so hard to believe that Troy is having a little trouble with the fact that his career is over and he just isn't an impact player anymore? He is a great person, no doubt, but he is human, too. It is hard to come to grips with, so maybe he is allowing his frustration with that to spill over a bit.
Imagine you are, let's say 80 years old. Maybe you don't see real well, your reaction time isn't there and you are becoming a bit forgetful. Your kids come to you and say they are taking your driver's license, they don't think you should drive. Are you just going to say, "OK?" Or might you say a few things out of frustration that you might regret, even though they are your kids?
I just think this is overblown, and it might be more of what I am talking about.
