Seems like Moncrief will start opposite of Juju but I’m wondering who everyone will think will end up being our #2 between him of Washington. Washington has played incredible in the preseason and no reason to think it can’t carry over to the regular season. Plus both guys are available in my fantasy league and thinking of adding one in replace of Allison from GB.

Three WRs will play often. When it is only two on the field I would presume they split Washington and Donte's receptions and depending on formation and the hot hand on who gets the more looks. But regardless both will get plenty of looks. I think Washington had the better camp but that necessarily won't mean anything out of the gates.

If Washington doesn't at least get first chance at number two, it's kinda hard to see this as a merit based system. How could he have really played any better. But I guess Boswell and his three made field goals after a below 70 percent season is still on the team.

2A/2B will be Moncrief and Washington but I'd expect to see a good bit of Switzer and even the rookie.

Moncrief did not show much in preseason for all the hype he brought, as Washington jumped way ahead of pack.

Down the road, I think it will be Diaonte Johnson. Like AB, it make take a full season for him to mature into the starting role.

The team seemed hell bent on restoring Washington's confidence which is understandable. He played a ton on the preseason compared to Moncrief. I thought he played too much, but i think the team wanted to keep him rolling. Maybe they already know what they have in Moncrief and wanted to keep it on the down low. As for fantasy i would probably pick Washington. I think if he continues to do well they will feed him the ball more. I also think he has the potential to be a TD machine
I just hope the coaches use our WRs properly. I think they kinda failed using our 3rd WR last year. Seemed like they tried to get too cute and were constantly switching who played there as opposed to letting one guy grow into the spot

Speaking of TD machine I read where the one season with Luck, Moncrief had 10 TD’s in 13 games. With Ben throwing the ball who knows.

? Not sure where you read that the most TDs he has had in a season is 7. But ten is obtainable with BigBen at QB.

It was actually a tweet in an article and a little misleading but see his point. Apparently he’s caught 10 TD in 13 games with Luck. I guess it wasn’t all in one season though but I agree and with Ben and if he stays healthy could get close to that hopefully.

My guess is Moncrief will be the mainstay, full-time WR2 paired with JuJu. Washington will be the 3rd reciever, when he's on the field they'll move JuJu around. They'll sprinkle in Switz & Dionte in 4-5 WR sets, as well as moving Samuels out of the backfield, lining him up in the slot.

He showed enough in practice to gain Ben's complements. Seems everyone forgot he was injured most of camp.

And he didn't show much in the preseason because he barely played in the preseason.

Oh I see showing the pattern of TDs with Luck.Yes impressive. I still think he will show out and a little more than what some expect. I think the Steelers see their 5 as being depth deep. And I am not sure I can argue with their way of thinking...........

Yeah that minor injury limited him. Thankfully it wasn't anything serious. I still would prefer the team to carry 6 WRs.

Yup I think DM is a little behind with the chemistry right now, but I expect him and Ben to click more as the season progresses.
I hope Washington keeps rolling the way he has, it will make losing the loser much easier for the offense.

I think, as many stated, JuJu / Moncrief / Washington ......... I don't know what all happened at camp / practice but I bet Moncrief is ready and will be that deep over the top threat. I know we are stacked at WR and see this offense rolling, don't forget..... We have a pretty good RB or two also, will be hard to defend this O.

Our D will be better also, you heard it here first.!

Salute the nation

If Switzer is part of the WR depth chart, it isn’t stacked.

#2 receiver comes down to production, and the Steelers should sub Moncreif and Wash to suit their needs on how to attack.

Here are 3 players that may be the #2 recevier by the end of the year:

Conner
Vance
JaySam

I really think the TE and RB will get a lot of balls this year. It's going to be fun to watch!
