By Logan Leslie* SteelerNation.com So far, the Pittsburgh Steelers season has been a roller coaster ride. After starting 0-3 and losing their future Hall of Fame quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger for the season, the team has managed to rally and put together a three game winning streak. To overcome such a big loss, they have needed […]

TJ WATT would be my current MVP with M.Fitz closing in.

Bud Dupree is having a great year and way better than some here think but still not team MVP consideration. No one on offense sticks out so it should be a defensive MVP this year.

Salute the nation

T.J. Watt is the best player on the Steelers roster right now and I have him as team through the first half. Tuitt was even on pace to content for this award prior to the injury. Fitzpatrick is close too. His contributions have probably added at least two wins already.

Whew, tough one. Tell you one thing, it ain’t from the offense.
I couldn’t argue with either of these cats; Minkah, TJ, Bud, Bush, or even Cam. All deserving. And if not for injury you could have thrown Tuitt in too.

They should probably split the award between Fitz and Watt.

They're becoming like Lloyd/Woodson, or Porter/Harrison/Polamalu.

Great players.

T.J. Watt

And then I forget about this guy until someone breaks out the all-22 and shows us what a beast this guy is:

MVP: TJ Watt

Offense MVP: Boswell

ROTY: Bush

Going with Watt... Fitz has been great, but he gave up quite a few plays as well. Can't remember TJ messing up much

Tough call but it's definitely a defensive player.

All homerism aside...

I'd say it is a two-way tie with TJ Watt and Minkah Fitzpatrick.

I think I edge Watt because at this point he is more experienced and sound in his assignments.Fitz is like Watt year 2. Great plays but the occasional growing pain.

Watt, hands down is the MVP. You have to put Bud in 2nd right now. And, Boz may be in 3rd but I don't see a kicker getting the MVP. Fitzpatrick should be in the mix by the end of the year but if Watt and Bud keep playing like they are, it will remain Watt, Bud, Fitzpatrick - in that order.

When I think of an MVP, I think of the way a team plays with and without that player. Watt plays at an extremely high level, but this team is lightyears different when we acquired Minkah. 4 INTs in 6 games??? That is in ******* sane!

Game changing pick 6? Yup!

Dude is winning games for us. He's my MVP by a mile!

I would have to go with Fitzpatrick. Watt and Dupree have been pretty great this year, but as stated above numerous times, the defense changed for the better when Fitzpatrick came on board. Dude is not only a game changer, he is apparently a team changer.

if Watt is out we still can still get pressure with chick or ola. not as good by any means but we can still run our defense. I would hate to see what our defense looks like without Cam.

Cam Heyward MVP

Not putting Fitz down but we needed someone on the back end desperately. So, he fit the bill at a spot of huge need. Watt has been consistently dominating and should be in conversations for DPOY, not just our MVP. Fitz had the pick 6 this past game but he also had 2 TD's given up - one right in front of him and one right over his head in the back of the endzone. He will only get better and may be our MVP at the end of the year but if Watt keeps dominating and gets 15+ sacks, he will have to be in DPOY conversations.

It's a good problem to have since our O-line (for running) and coaching on O are extremely suspect, especially with a new QB. With Bush improving, our D is in good hands for the next 8+ years if we can keep them here (as I've said more than a few times already).

D Watt
