Where does Claypool’s first half rank?

Curious what Steelers rookies do you think had better first halfs to their careers than claypool

Id certainly argue Ben...for sure... possibly franco.. comparing defense is trickier... greene probably but its hard to say

K Bell started out of the gate... And steamrolled that first year

I dont think lipps reached the impact level claypool has already
 
Kendrell Bell was rookie of the year also

Burrows is probably the front runner for offensive rookie of year

Given his ability as a run blocker, deep receiver or side line threat, I think he has unachieved not because of his own efforts, but because of our OC not using him correctly and in some games lack of targets.

I mean he is like 41st in targets for a wr... its not like they aren’t getting him targets... our deep routes are uninspired though... ill give you that...
 
I think Kendrell Bell was DROY as well.

The only WR comparison is Lipps. Lipps is leading in every stat except running TDs, and Long TD.

Lipps also made the pro bowl his first 2 years.
 
He had one great game and a couple other really good ones but we need to get him the ball more. I believe he had the most targets last Sunday but Ben connected better with Juju and DJ. We need to get more catches from Mapletron. If the defense is going to respect his deep routes then we need to feed Juju in the middle of the field and make them pay.

Maybe we’ve crowned him a bit early. I agree. He’s had a few good games, but has had his share of disappearances to. Last week, he dropped a couple that I’d like to see him catch.

He good, maybe even has the potential to be great, but let’s cease with the “greatest of all time” comparisons until he’s put a little more on tape.

Also he needs to pass JuJus marks of 58rec 917yds 7TDs Right now he's short of the mark for yardage, but if he stops getting tackled on deep passes, he can make up ground in the 2nd half!
 
Mr. Clay pool got mugged on different occasions in front of officiating but ONE must realize that the officials are told by the league that they must somehow keep it close to retain viewership to near end. PITT would have won by 16+ had they called Claypool PI penalties and that would have cost viewership. Entertainment Value
