I've looked at a number of mocks and most don't have us taking a DE very high if at all.
We have a big fall off after Heyward and Tuitt. Injury to one of them make us pretty
vulnerable at that position. I could see the Steelers drafting a DE as high as #3.

There are a couple of players on the draft that could play both as LOLB or DE, they would fit perfectly the hybrid plan of Butler for the D.

I think we are talking about 3-4 DE's. Bennett, Henry Anderson.

i agree but I was thinking about the 4-3 / 3-4 that Butler said he would mix up

Preston Smith could work that way too.

Isn't Diggy technically a DE?
Yes in the same sense that Porter, Gildon, Haggans, Worilds, Woodley et al were college DE's.

With so many pressing needs elsewhere, i don"t think we will be able to draft for DL depth early. I think we will add one but not until sometime on saturday.

Xavier Cooper in the 3rd if he is there, hell might take him in the 2nd depending on how the draft falls

Butler's 4 - 3 scheme will be similar to Dick's. Nothing new there.
