He's a team captain. Perhaps our best player off the field for community relationships and charity. And he's in his prime with no injures. Last year he was a real force.

Today he had 1 assisted tackle. That's it. The game before? One assisted tackle only vs the Browns. And the game before that? Zero tackles vs the Bungles.

In the past three games, Heyward has but 2 assisted tackles. How can this be? Is he hiding an injury?

Yeah not sure what the deal is, but eventually we're gonna need more out of him than that

He and tuitt were disruptive all game... 3/4 dlinemen arent stat generation material... great ones like Aaron Smith or Casey Hampton barely register a blip in stats, but are probably HOF types to real football analysts..

A big disappointment with both of their tackle spot being held down by backups and Flacco hardly got touched the whole game.

I recall many of plays he pushed that center back in eyebrows face. He isn’t going to get some stats for that, but that allowed others to do the job

You were saying that about Tuitt 2 weeks ago and he goes out and dominates the last 2 weeks. I think this thread bodes well for Heywards future.

Glad you think so. Tuitt does not have Heyward's smarts or character. So its not lack of effort with him. Anyone can have a bad game, but three bad games in a row, and you should be worried.

The Rats had a total of 61 yards rushing. The DL (including Heyward) did their job. btw, along with that 1 tackle, Heyward tied Tuitt for the team lead in QB hits (2 each). Those hits affected Flacco.

Out of curiosity, how do you know this? I don't they Heyward had a bad game today. statistics don't tell the truth

He made zero plays, outside of 1 assisted tackle. This means he did not beat his man at all, nor did he shed blocks and make tackles. Flacco dropped backed and threw it 37 times. There were plenty of chances. Javon Hargrave who sees the field a lot less did better.

Do you think he's playing well?

Watt had the same amount of sacks and 2 less QB hits. Did he play well? Or maybe that's tomorrow's thread?

how do you know Heyward is smarter and has more character than Tuitt? and yes I think heyward is doing just enough to help the Steelers win.

Guess some fans expect defensive linemen to sack the QB every play while being manhandled by sometimes two or more 300 + lb. O Linemen?

Cam & Stephon BOTH had great games. YOU have to watch and see how they disrupted the UNI-brow and hit / hurried also. There were slim pickings on the number of tackles available and they both tied up blockers......... Isn't that their jobs???? The defensive Rush was good and Cam & Stephon are both a part of that.

Salute the nation

No one seems to like Coach......unless he runs this thing why doesnt the moderator just ban him? Seems eternally negative and annoying. Must have been dropped as a baby a lot.

From his post he knows the players personally, you can't ban that type of knowledge.

for the record, I like coach. glad he is back on the board. hope he stays around for along time. was more boring when he was gone.

He gives us someone to laugh at on a regular basis. Since all the opponents trolls have disappeared over the years.
