Ben, Pouncey, Watt, Heyward sit. Haden, Marsh and Ebron on Covid. Can the Steelers field a linebacking corps? All I'm hoping to see in this game is no injuries to starters for next week or significant backup. And maybe get a real look at Rudolph even if it's just first half. But anyone have an idea what this will even look like? ie. starters

Edmunds is out too.

It probably will look like a train wreck. But you never know what the clowns will look like so it could look like a train wreck for both teams.

But with the clowns hungry for a playoff birth they have the edge.

A sloppy, unorganized mess I would think. I'm expecting about 150 yards of total offense and 6 total points with our nonexistent running game plus Mason at QB.

Cue up Yakety-Sax. It will probably look like a poorly coached preseason game on our end. The Browns will be playing their next to last game in any case.

Steelers have a preseason roster. It doesn’t matter if starters are out there because they’ve conceded the 2 seed and it’ll be tough to get too up for this game with so many backups in there. Cleveland should either dominate or cave to the pressure of making the playoffs.

I'm fine with a preseason roster and effort. My question is can they even do that. Unlike preseason they cannot just play these practice squad guys. not without cutting someone to make a spot.

Sure. Just some areas will be slim on depth.

Obviously starters are still in there, but the entire day is a preseason mindset.

It's probably going to be a sodomizing of the Steelers, given what the Browns have on the line and who the Steelers aren't playing.

Rudolph is really the reason to watch.

They get 3 PS exemptions with Covid.

****, the Saints lost their entire RB room - all 5 RB's on the roster and PS. Not sure what they do in that case. Grab someone off the street, literally, I guess.

Here it looks cloudy with rain all day with high in the 30s

And I will bet you a dime to a donut Sean Payton puts together a gameplan that allows them to still win the game..

A vanilla pre season game. The pressure is all on the Browns.I hope they have to work hard for it.Game 1 of the new season starts next week.. That's really all that matters now.

i want to see some zip on masons passes. If he can't do that then it is time to move on...

Yeah. I'm hoping no injuries and clarity on Rudolph.

Not sure today will give that. He doesn't have Pouncey or Ebron and is arguably handcuffed by Randy.

This is probably Mason's last audition for the Steelers. If he looks terrible, they will be drafting a QB the year Ben hangs them up. They had a 1st round ground on Rudolph so if he turns out to be a dud at QB, you have to also look for help in evaluating QB's. We won't be picking high enough to grab a top QB until after Ben is gone.

It would be great to see Mason have success throwing it down the field. If they try the dink and dunk game, it will be a log afteroon
