It is funny that he thinks of himself as a RB, as I think his money in the NFL will come with his fantastic pass catching ability.
I think Eli, Jesse James,Ridley, and Conner reps will be affected.... Eli provided he returns.
That is a lot of players that should sweat it if not take notice.
Not that JaySam still has to prove himself. He still does on this level. But I think he has the skillset you would think would transfer over to the NFL.

Im getting real excited about this pick..
6.1 ypc? Not knowing the situations he was used as a RB in, I'd still say that was pretty impressive (even if his use as a RB was limited). I do wonder whether he was used in so many positions because they didn't have kids capable of filling the roles or if he was used that way because they didn't have kids AS capable of filling the roles. Either way, if they, and he, want to call him a RB, so be it. I still expect with his skillset, they'll find a variety of uses for him.
or it could be another experiment that never works ,, or is even attempted. He's versatile I get it. I hope it works out and he becomes a crazy / player, and Fichtner works him into the offense.

Am I the only one who doesn’t want Eli back? He and Ben were never on the same page and with the addition of Washington and Samuels I would rather help them get reps rather than Eli taking them away.

Would be awesome if Samuals shows enough to get reps in passing downs in the slot....and or other spots.
No you're not the only one
In the slot, third downs, to relieve Bell and JC. He looks like he could be a red zone option too.
Even if he does well in two of these areas, I think you just added another dimension to the offense.

I thought Eli performed well above the line ,considering who else was on the team and his size. There were lots of offensive playmakers and he still got reps and made some big plays.
When Eli was healthy, he was a playmaker. Problem is, he was banged up a lot.
Does anyone know if Samuels returns kicks? He seems to do everything else well, and his open field running looks like it would translate well.

He made some good catches in some opportune times. I think it is more what was behind him than some great consistent play. Bey is just a STer and the depth behind Brown, Juju, and Washington doesn't inspire confidence.

I think some fans think we are still one WR short.
To a point. I thought JC doesn't scream confidence as a blocker and yet he still found a way to the field.

My hope is Quadre Henderson can replace DHB on coverage special teams so we don't have to worry about a return man any
more. Quadre would be a big improvement, particularly on punt returns.

He returned 9 kicks for 23.7 last year. Not a huge sample size but he obviously can do it. 0 punt returns so my hope is Quadree can somehow lock down the 4th or 5th wr spot and show enough in covering punts and kicks along with returning that he can get a hat and get AB off return duty. Maybe have Samuels and Quadree return kicks to getting JuJu of return duty as well.
