Rather than pick one (lame, I know) here's my wish list:
1.
Danny Shelton, NT, Washington - Love the presence of a dominant force in the middle. Can play three downs if allowed.
Bud Dupree, OLB, Kentucky - Risky pick, but he's an athlete who can be molded into a dominant pass rusher.
Marcus Peters, CB, Washington - If we are going to draft a cornerback, draft the best.
Owamagbe Odighizuwa, OLB, UCLA - Can he convert to outside? Big, physical who can play the run today and has upside as a pass rusher.
Kevin Johnson, CB, Wake Forest - Not many holes in his game and has a future as a No. 1.
2.
Maxx Williams, TE, Minnesota - Unlikely he falls, but if he does, he will help over the middle of the field.
Alex Carter, CB, Stanford - Good size, but lacks speed. May only be a No. 2, but fits our system.
Preston Smith, Edge, Mississippi St. - If you are going to run a hybrid front, embrace it and get a big edge rusher.
Quinten Rolins, DB, Miami (OH) - Playmaker with little experience, but can become a good player.
Nate Orchard, OLB, Utah - Productive college player and good character.
3.
Senquez Golson, CB, Ole Miss - Undersized playmaker who some think could become very good.
Lorenzo Mauldin, OLB, Louisvile - Good character and potential in the 3-4.
Xavier Cooper, DL, Washington State - Very good defensive line prospect who can rush the quarterback.
Grady Jarrett, DL, Clemson - Need depth on the defensive line and he is great value here.
Sammie Coates, WR, Auburn - Big play receiver with size and speed.
4.
Jeff Heuerman, TE, Ohio State - Like his potential as a receiver and blocker.
Hau'oli Kikaha, OLB, Washington - Good character player who was productive and has a chance to be solid in NFL.
Doran Grant, CB, Ohio State - Steelers' favorite college to add depth to the CB position.
Markus Golden, OLB, Missouri - Probably a round too late, but can't pass up here.
5-7.
Kyle Emanuel, OLB, North Dakota State
Davis Tull, OLB, Tennessee-Chattanooga
Max Garcia, OL, Florida
