The Steelers are expected to let their top backup offensive lineman, Chris Hubbard test free agency this year. The guard will be entering his age 27 season and will most likely find a starting job in free agency. If Hubbard goes, what does this mean for Pittsburgh? The Steelers have one of the best O-lines […]

Have to get another T , probably somewhere within the draft..

False Start Hubbard was a decent depth guy and he had his moments for us but we are better when he is not on the field.

More curious than Hubbard is if the team wants to give Ramon Foster a new deal since he has 1 year left on his existing contract. If that answer is no then they may also be looking at a G early in this year's draft so we have a replacement.

The LSU kid better be ready, we are a better team with Gilbert because of his lenth and power, Hubbard, I saw would of excelled more as a OG, beut can pass asa average OT kind of like Beachum.

Hubbard performed pretty admirably, IMO. Id like to keep him as a backup, but i expect he can start elsewhere.

Great. Now we're not going anywhere in the playoffs...wait..

Willie Colon approves of this post.

Thought DeCastro was known to be the false start guy....

This Steelers Offensive Line excels because of line coach Mike Munchak and the personnel.
O Linemen are unlike the selfish media & stat seekers at other positions, they work as a cohesive unit. Without their efforts their is no success moving the football on the ground or in the air.
Linemen also network with other linemen and even if Hubbard gets an offer elsewhere and moves on, don't be surprised if a FA of deal is made by someone who for no other reason wants to work with the Steelers because of Coach Munchak and the people.
Just my opinion, please don't quote or hate me.

The true reason they won't sign Hiubbard is because he wants #2 money at all the position (s) he plays..........................

Salute the nation

Thought DeCastro was known to be the false start guy....

Hubbard had 3 penslties in the season. 2 FS and a holding. All 3 stalled drives.

DeCastro had 7 penalties. 3 FS 4 holding. 4 stalled drives.
