He's projected as a third rounder. From SI.com:

Dorance Armstrong, DE/OLB, Kansas

The 6'4", 257-pound Armstrong is a tweener who played defensive end at Kansas but may have to transition to 3–4 outside linebacker in the NFL. Or he may be able to put on weight and play as a 4–3 defensive end. He’s best at getting to the quarterback, but his sack numbers dropped from 10 in 2016 to 1.5 in 2017 because of a defensive scheme change.

All those factors will depress Armstrong’s draft stock, but a team that can project him into the correct role could find a gem late in the draft.

With that production, I don't touch him until rounds 5-6

There are quite a few things to like. At the combine he was the top performer (DL) for the 3-cone, 20 yard shuttle and the 60 yard shuttle.

And while sacks went down his overall game was solid: 63 tackles, four pass breakups, three forced fumbles.

He is a project - no doubt - he played 4-3 end at college and needs coaching to make the transition to 3-4 OLB but he has the frame and athleticism to make the change to fit our D.

Not the biggest Armstrong fan as I feel he is limited athletically but he’s a high effort guy. Slow but has long arms and if the QB hold the ball too long he can pick up garbage sacks. He does block passing lanes well getting his hands up and batting down passes. Ceiling Arthur Moats

Thanks guys.

Just so long as we take an OLB at some point during the draft. Hopefully not in the first two rounds.

Tweeners used to be our bread and butter at OLB - Porter, Haggans, Gildon etc were all college DEs that weren't quite big enough to play DE in the NFL and were untried at OLB. Projects but worthwhile ones.
