All of the usual wild card contenders are having horrible years. KC, and the Rats are both 1-5, SD is 2-4 with a loss to us. The Jets, and Bills are pretenders. The Jets have a pedestrian qb, and Buffalo is playing their backup. We were all worried about playing the big bad NFC West, but we're 3-0 against them. Catching Cincy won't be easy, but even if we don't, we should make the playoffs.

The facts are, in the AFC:

Patriots 5-0, Bengals 6-0, Broncos 6-0, & Colts 3-3 lead their divisions.

The next best records in the AFC are: Jets 4-1, and Steelers 4-2.

Today the Steelers are in the playoffs. The Bills are the only WC chasing team at 3-3, and everyone else is below 500.

Steelers have a 1 game advantage to secure a WC over the Bills and a 2 game advantage over every other team in the AFC. Strategically, it's a good place to be sitting.

We play the Bungles twice, not worried about that 2 game deficit. They will turn into fools gold real quick.

Because the Browns are the Browns and the Rats are imploding I don't see how we do worse than a wild card.

Yeah I mean we are a top 3 AFC team so when it all shakes out by the end of the year, I have no doubt we'll be in a playoff spot. The only unfortunate thing is that it will probably be a WC since no one seems to wanna beat the Bungles. But I'm still not convinced Dalton can keep this up all year

1. Someone warm up Jim Mora Sr.

2. A good place to be is where the 6-0 Bengals are.

3. I'd feel better if we had the ravens at 0-6, and sitting at 5-1 with 2 vs. Cincy.

4. 1 week at a time. Enjoy the ride.

Yep have to root for Patriots, Bengals, Broncos, & Colts to keep beating the other AFC teams.

I will be perfectly fine if the Steelers make the playoffs as a WC if the defense keeps improving, and the offense gets Ben back and starts scoring at will.

They will be a nightmare for any AFC team in the playoffs.

Bring it on.

It's been division winner and NFC over AFC dominance except for the Steelers. This has really helped.

Way too early for me to be thinking playoffs. KC is bad this year but won't be easy place to pick-up a W. Bengels hate them if you must, but they will be tough to beat in Cincy and at Heinz. Then we have the bad teams we're suppose to beat. You know who they are and we always struggle to beat them. Cleveland in their place, B'more as bad as they are in their place, OAkland, always a challenge. We shall see but I need to see a lot more.

if we don't make it I'm blaming you for the jinx

The way I see it, Bengals may win the division.......earning a 3 seed....NE and DEN earn byes as the 1st and 2nd seeds.....we likely get a wildcard and by IND winning that ****** division, they'll get the 4th seed most likely. I see the Jets falling to a 6th seed if they can sustain. That makes us the 5th seed. We would draw IND in the wildcard matchup while CIN hosts NYJ. It could shape up with us (if we were to win) traveling to Foxboro with a rematch with those ****** cheaters............Id relish the thought......im getting ahead for sure and theres lots of games left. But I want those ********, even if we have to travel to Foxboro. No way we lose to them in a rematch. Next time will be different......if all things play out like im anticipating.

Yes we will. We can't beat the Cheating Bastiges From New England. We got to three SB's in six years by not having to face them in the playoffs any of those years. I'm just going to save myself the heartbreak now and face the fact that if we meet them in the playoffs we lose. Gotta hope somebody else takes them out.

Or we could go all the way, we get our seventh Lombardi, and Vick gets a SB ring because karma.

Once again it will come down to the last game, we will not be in control of our own destiny, and we'll be rooting for some AFC team to lose the last week of the regular season. Then when they win we will all be pissed off. Until this team shows me differently I'm sticking with that.

Once again? We won the division last year and controlled our own destiny..

Mighty early to be doing "if the playoffs started today" scenario. Let's wait until after the two Bengals games, Denver and Seattle before we start projecting post-season likelihood.
