Seriously, I'd love to see the stats this year when we run no huddle vs the huddle offense. Or even just Ben's stats because it has to be ridiculously one-sided.

We run no huddle for 85% of the game and Ben throws for 500 yards. We come out the 2nd half with slower pace and not running the no huddle and have 3 straight punts before switching back and then "magically" go down the field at-will again. I feel like the game would've never come down to that if we just stuck with the no huddle coming out of halftime.

I'd love to know the reason why someone (either Haley or Tomlin) thought it was a good idea to get away from it at halftime...clearly it wasn't Ben's call.

P.S. Please take the WR screen to Bryant out of the playbook.

I think what's working is that while in no huddle plays are called by Haley but then Ben makes his reads and keeps, changes, or adjusts the play call. It's not all or nothing.

A big portion of that lull in scoring wasn't getting away from the no huddle.

It was Bell having his knee hyperextended, and Vance leaving the field with a shoulder. We had to readjust, and we didn't until Bell came back in the game. The personnel wasn't there to be as effective.

Take it one step further. I'd like to see Ben turn off his helmet radio and call the plays himself. Only half-kidding.

good thing that was ONLY 1/2 kidding.......................YOIIIKKKEEESSSEESS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to disagree Cope ...but we started the 2nd half with 2 straight 3 and out Bell was in there for both ..Vance is a China doll we cannot put anything in for him because he will never make it thru a game. If we were counting on him to be a big part of the O it was a huge mistake by the coaches .

The sequences coming out of halftime, Bell was in all 3 series...he touched the ball all 3 drives that ended in punts when we weren't running the no huddle. Bell was banged up in the first half and we continued running no huddle with Conner and still moved the ball and scored. You may have a point with Vance but James has been the starter all season so not sure why that would all of a sudden hinder our game plan.

There was no reason not to start the 2nd half with the no huddle.

Yep, as soon as we came out in the second half with a different mindset on offense, we stalled. I think every drive started with a two-yard carry by Bell and that isn't what made the offense click last night.

Anyway to phase Haley out of play calls and limit Tomlin's clock management is a good thing. I'll trust Ben over these two.

I've been saying it since last year, this OLine and Bell are not built to be a ground and pound running game, it works on occasion, but this offense is much better with a pass first attitude and running from the spread O.

I'll say yes and no to that but mostly no. Vance has very little to do with what we do on O. He has missed most of the season and most of our winning streak. Bell has some effect but I will still say no to that. The reason is look at Marsha and the Cheats. They have won year in and year out and it doesn't matter what scrub they bring off the street to play. They still adjust, get it done and win.

Well, Ernie Adams and Darth Hoodie can't steal our signals that way.
