Looks like the game is scheduled to be on USTVNow on Sunday.

Also, not sure how Hulu Live TV works with the regions but and which games you can view (based on your mailing address, IP address, or all games) they have a free 7 day trial. After that, it is 39.99 per month for their Live TV.

First game of the year...gotta get to a local sports bar!

Isn't there a link that shows a map of the country and what game will be shown in any particular region?

Wow, the Steelers are getting more play. It looks like the rule is if the Ravens are on the road and playing the same time as the Steelers, then the Ravens will get broadcast. Otherwise, the Steelers will play. Here's a link to the schedule. Bookmark it for the USTVNow schedule on CBS:

Nice, I hope the Steelers/Browns is on here. :-)

Thanks for the schedule, Cope!

I can't verify this, but someone at work today said Direct TV is giving the ticket away free for the first week of the season.

Worth a look.

Hmmm..... interesting. I'm here in Dallas. I think I will have to look into that.

TDX- Go To Austin Avenue Sports Bar- Plano Location- at least 200 Steeler craizes there-
I switched to Direct TV back in the spring and have the Ticket

USTVNow is $29.00/month. Pretty cheap if you can get all the Steeler games. Cheaper than a few beers at a sports bar a few times a month. Anybody know if they show all the Steeler games?

Read post #5...

I called Directv to talk to retentions, got Sunday Ticket free, well $50 off a month for 6 mo, and then an extra $10 my bill off for the rest of the year...so more than the cost of Sunday Ticket

USTVNow is free but you only get like 5 channels. Most of the Steeler games are on CBS which is one of the free channels, if you want any other channels ( like Fox) you have to pay.

At least that's my understanding.

.

Best options for delayed view? If it is a Sunday at 1pm (eastern) kick off... then I need to view the game on Sunday afternoon.

Best ideas?

Thanks! I was looking up some of the local bars and fan clubs here in Dallas. I saw that one. I am moving back to Sarasota in about 6 weeks and I know one of the fan clubs meets just a few miles from my house.

Curious what technique you used Spike, last time I talked with them they wouldn't budge on the ticket. Didn't have it last year and wasn't too bothered by that decision. It would be nice not to have to worry about finding a web link every week to watch the games though.

And free is always good.

Can't speak for Spike, but I would call and complain that they just gave it to a neighbor I have for free for being a new subscriber, while I've been a loyal customer for almost 2 decades. Then would ask to be transferred. Retention have productivity (or retention) goals they have to meet, so they'll usually give it to you w/ little issue. Last year they wouldn't give it free, but like Spike, they discounted it and gave a certain amount off the bill that more than took care of the cost.

I didn't even try this year. I've found that between USTVNOW and reddit links to stream, I don't even need The Ticket. Yeah, it's great for RedZone channel, but if it ain't the Steelers, I really don't care anymore with this NFL.

Actually I haven't had it for 2 seasons now.

Guys on the radio yesterday saying there may well be a monsoon in Cleveland on Sunday and don't be surprised if the game is delayed several hours or until Monday.

I used my standard spiel, call their 800 number, say u want to cancel, get operator to switch u to retentions, 'Im a loyal customer, I need a better deal!'

they will go through your account, see if any discounts apply, tell them u want free Sunday Ticket or best deal - only works before season starts.

Got it two years in a row, they don't call it free but it comes to be the same with $50 off your bill for 6 months + another 6 months with $10 off....don't have to extend contract either
