Good plan. Let's kill a housing market in the midst of a horrible economy, where jobs are diminishing.

Washington State aims to wipe the slate clean on their 400 years of racial inequality, demonstrating that they embrace liberal history AND math curricula.

It's a voting cycle year and this is lipstick on a pig. People of color including Asians who are over 56 years old and their direct offspring, first time home buyers, and make less than 120k per year. and even then, you get "help" with down payments, closing costs, or low interest loans. The demographic is VERY small indeed.

What's happening: Washington's new law will impose a $100 fee on certain recorded documents to raise money for the homeownership assistance program.

  • The program will provide assistance with down payments and closing costs to people who lived in Washington state before the Fair Housing Act was enacted on April 11, 1968, and who would have been affected by racially restrictive real estate covenants.
  • Descendants of those individuals also would qualify for the assistance, which would likely be in the form of low-interest or no-interest loans.
Plus: Applicants must also be first-time homebuyers with household income at or below the area median income, which in Seattle was about $120,000 for a family of four last year.

Awesome! The dream of making all of America downtown Detroit or Baltimore or St. Louis is getting closer by the day!

Can I self-identify as black instead of Italian?

I'm glad I live far far far away. I never knew Washington State was part of the Confederacy...🤪🤠😁

Election season brings out the best in government. Plans. It will go away.

Another State that didn’t have slavery and wasn’t even a State at the time of slavery, yet wants those who never owned slaves to pay people that were never slaves.
And people eat that **** up rather than seeing it for what it is.....shameless pandering.

All elected officials know the bribery game very well. They are surrounded by it. It's all they know how to do.

When you do, you can no longer be a big government guy.

My great-grandfather was a white man held unfairly in a prison in Alabama for 15 years for a crime. It was later determined he never committed that crime & was wrongly imprisoned.

Resultantly my family lost many opportunities for equitable, economic advancement. I'm suing the state of Alabama for reparations in the ballpark of $38 trillion.

My lawyer makes a credible case that a white family with 2 1/2 generations to amass and increase wealth could easily have exceed that amount based on my great-grandfather's wage at the time $2 a day.
