Attention to all of Steelers Nation, Vince Williams wants fans to pay their dues as well. If any fans are attending any live games Williams wants you to play your part as a fan and cheer as loud as you can. Believe it or not fans participation at games really does help the team’s motivation […]

Bince.............................. we got yaz.!!!!!

Good luck with that. Steelers “fans” who attend games have become increasingly older and corporate. They’ve priced out many of the fans that made the Three Rivers games hostile and arguably not suitable for children.

don't be so troglodyte

He needs to worry about his own job of tackling, deflecting passes, and taking down the opposite QB. Let us worry about our job.

Stay in your lane Vince.....

You go to the games all you do is see fans cuss and look to the board for the fantasy players. This is not the old crowd. Not the old players as well, more concern with the dancing than making a play.

Corporate yes, but an older crowd isn't an issue. It's the crowd that is there for the social aspect that doesn't get involved in the game. Way too many selling their tickets to opposing fans now too.

He didn't need to tell us, we already bring the noise !

The home crowd has gotten increasingly weak over the past 5-6 years. Not bringing the energy like they used to.

Could the stadium design be part of the problem? While I have been to three rivers, I have not been to Heinz field. Heinz field doesn’t look as impressive as most NFL stadiums.

Is it Roger’s silly rules to limit kickoffs and hard legal hits, two things I like?

Is it too many Steelers behaving baldy off the field?

Higher ticket prices?

Lots of reasons why.

Ticket prices weigh in sure, as does a younger crowd who liked fantasy football as much as watching the game. And the drama surrounding the Steelers didn't help as well. And then you have weather kicking in, and being able to watch it at home all nice and comfy.

I always try to get to a few games year, but I record the game. As you miss some things at a game. Regardless if it is a play here and there, or a angle shot.

I still like the crowd, the experience.

But a lot to like sitting at home as well.

What a bunch of ****.
If you are a fan that says “We need to do better” or “We did amazing” then as a fan you have to take some form of responsibility in any game loss as well.

A player paid millions of dollars trying to tell paying ticket holders what they need to do for the right to refer to their team in the first person. **** off and go win some playoff games.

The football stadium is built like a baseball stadium, with an open end. It will never be as loud as 3 rivers, or any oval stadium.

And I was at the JAX playoff game. Sorry Vince, we were loud as **** for you that game. It didn't help the D get off the field at all...

How about Vinny starts with not allowing the Jags to run all over the middle of this defense like we're a bunch of girl scouts. This guy doesn't cover for ****, the least he could do is make a ******* stop on a run up the gut from time to time.

Nope. At it's best it has an amazing atmosphere, you just don't have that type of crowd going to the games anymore.

I think some of it is people holding onto tickets not using them.

I also think there is a lot of areas people go to stand instead of their seats.

That used to be the case in the open end under the scoreboard. Now, since they filled in that area with bleachers, there isn't a great spot to stand and watch. Unless you want to hang out on the ramps.
