Can't help but pull for Keenum; what a class act.
Zimmer, too. Lost his wife (suddenly) several years ago, then his dad in 2015. Just comes across as a real mensch.
Coolie, you'll like this: I read a piece about how Zimmer sat down with Keenum early on and asked him thngs like, What kinds of plays do you like to run? Are you comfortable doing such-and-such? Etc.
You notice that Zimmer has Keenum rolling out more and throwing on the run, like he did at UH. When you combine a good attitude and good coaching, there's no limit to what you can do.
I mean, can you imagine Sgt. Hulka O'Brien doing that when Keenum was with the Texans? No way.
O'Brien tried to turn him into a strict pocket passer. And, what a surprise, he was getting killed.
O'Brien really does suck. If the Texans were smart, they'd cashier him. But they aren't, so they won't.
