Maybe the Stillers can find a veteran DB or OLB this weekend???

Let's keep this thread open for discussion.

I'm still not how I'd feel about the drama that Michael Sams brings; but, if he can play - he fills a need...

It would be real nice if the found someone that would be a good starter at corner, safety, or OLB. We will likely have James for one more year so he could cover for the two we draft and if Moats and Jarvis can do somethings that would help a lot. If we make a big change this year and go from the 3-4 to the 4-3 we may see some positions shift. James could definitely play the middle linebacker spot where he would be very effective on a blitz or in run support or as a defensive end. Heyward, Tuitt, McCullers, and McClendon would make a very tough to defend 4 man line. There is also the possibility of the 4 -4 -3 where the faster smaller linebackers like Shazier can cover as well as a safety. The bigger players may kill the run game and be quick enough to kill the short passing game. If the quarter back gets tackled he can't pass so maybe a new look is what is needed.

don't drop the soap

I don't care if he likes cocks, pussys, or blow up dolls shaped like sheep, if that ****** can get to the qb, take him. ****, we have one guy on offence who gave a proctology exam mid game two years ago.

Joe

I saw Vic So'oto on the list. I thought he did a pretty decent job in camp last year. Wonder why they wouldn't bring him back this year.

I wonder if he is still on our practice squad and is likely trying to crack a roster somewhere. It could be nothing more than trying to improve his compensation as these guys particularly the later round guys often have only a few years to play or make a roster and then they are out of football.

seriously, what separates Landry fkn Jones from this group?

Johnson, Jerrod QB Texas A&M
Kafka, Mike QB Northwestern
Kay, Brendon QB Cincinnati
Price, Keith QB Washington
Robinson, Zac QB Oklahoma State

I hope to God they don't even think about signing Sam.

I thought Kafka was actually a decent prospect not too long ago.

Didn't Kay have a decent preseason showing with someone last year?

We've had both of the bolded players in camp. Johnson looked like he had a live arm and would have been a better (and cheaper) developmental player than the route they eventually went the next year (Jones). Kay had a good camp last year and looked like he was the draft pick while Jones looked like the street free agent. Just my opinion.

A roster spot? What do I win??

I have no problem with Sam, as long as he can get to the QB, and he seemed to do it in the preseason last year.
Seriously, who doesn't want a player with the extra incentive to get to all of those 'hot' quarterbacks? ;)

Sadly, we have a lot of homophobic guys on this site. In ten years after guys have long retired we will hear how many of the stars we know today were gay. Time to grow up boys. If Michael Sam can leave the drama behind and play football, I would at least bring him to camp.

Carriker and Michael Sam are the two guys I think could be worth a look. Mikel LeShoure is interesting too. Unga was a good FB in college.

I believe homophobic is a misnomer and would indicate a fear of something. I do not recall anyone on here commenting that they feared homosexuals. I would offer a different view with out the gay spin, that they find it disgusting, much the same as people find vomit disgusting, but they are not in fear of it.

It's funny though, a lot of times, the most over the top, vocally anti gay people, secretly have gay tendencies themselves. It's an overcompensation.

Maybe I should just says hateful bias instead? That is how it's sounding. It's like saying you don't like black people so you don't want them on your team.

Like I said, some of these guys that your worship will come out of the closet and all the people that are hateful will have a lot to think about. I am more concerned with how a player plays, him locker room impact, and if he causes unnecessary distractions to a team. We need pas rushers and if he can prove that he is fast enough to get to the qb, then someone should give him a chance.

Yep that's true. It's been shown that often homophobic guys who may hateful and angry are actually that way because they have those gay tendencies/thoughts and are really just angry that they have them.

Enough about Michael Sam and gayness though. I think there are 3-4 plays in the list worth taking a flier on.
