Donnie Shell was a hell of a player but when intertwined with all the greats, he was underrated/ forgotten. He made it hard to not see him though but for some reason the media / ect. Didn't give him his dues. I FULLY agree it's a travesty he isn't in the hall of fame right now. He is one of my favorite players all time. I've said it many a times it's hard to just have one favorite STEELERS player. Our fan base is so blessed with as many OUTSTANDING HOF players that the roster has had. All the great players and "plays of a lifetime" are nearly to numerous to list. Great problem to have VS. other franchises that aren't nearly as storied and that includes a LOT of other teams.

Isn't Donnie Shell the guy who out jumped on the story pole (where they measure your vertical) some high draft pick and did it in his street shoes / cloths..............??
I don't remember who it was but he was leaving the facility and walked by right after the kid made his jump and Donnie said something to the effect of yaz gottA do a little bit better
and he jumped and increased the mark by a long ways and said that's more like it or something along those lines.......anyone remember it in better detail???????
