In a game driven by youth, CBS released its annual Top 25 NFL Players Under 25 list. This list highlights players who are either on the rise, in the spotlight, or seen as the future of the NFL. The Pittsburgh Steelers landed two players on the list.

The list featured current NFL stars such as Lamar Jackson, Nick Bosa, and Justin Jefferson—all either established or rising stars in the NFL. The Steelers definitely have a plethora of young talent on both sides of the ball, however, they only landed two on the list. Players such as Devin Bush, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Diontae Johnson were among those who missed the list that Steelers fans might think of immediately. The two who made the list?

At 13, Minkah Fitzpatrick came in and no doubt deserves this spot. He has been an impact player since the Steelers traded for him in 2019. Additionally, with three years under his belt and only being 24 years old, there is no doubt he has plenty of elite play ahead of him. With his contract expiring after the 2022 season, it would not be surprising to see him among the highest-paid safeties in the league.

At 24, Chase Claypool landed on the list. After a successful 2020 campaign, CBS Sports highlights him as a potential star with the makings of a number one receiver. Steelers fans are certainly eager to see his sophomore season and how new Offensive Coordinator, Matt Canada will utilize his skill sets. His freakish athleticism and size definitely intrigue fans and analysts alike.

I don’t think many Steeler fans are putting DJ on a top 25 list, at least until he learns to catch more consistently...a huge part of performance of his role

Devin Bush was injured most of the season so he shouldn't make it. As for DJ, his drop rate lowered last 1/3 of then season and I expect him to continue being more sure handed. DJ found the majic of a JUGGs machine and I think he will continue to fondle with it.

If our running game is just 50% better than last year, those guys will have career years. The offense could be record breaking.

They just have to go above and beyond putting in the work to make them a well oiled machine.

With drops not being an official stat the number I keep seeing is 16 for last year (unofficially of course) which ties the unofficial record for a season...

I hope you’re right DIC, I do seem to remember him being a touch better over the last couple of games after the “benching”...maybe he did meet the juggs machine

You’ve spawned my new nickname for him tho “Diontae Juggson”

I kept saying he should hit the the juggs machine last year, this year I’ll follow all of his drops with, “Diontae! Hit the Juggs son”

Hopefully I’m not having to call him Diontae Juggson to often because aside from that major flaw in his game he has an excellent skill set.

EXCELLENT nick name Fiji Mariner !!!! I'll adopt it as well. Deonte realized he needed help and I think something as simple as the JUGGs machine is what these kids need. Repetition makes a big difference and with practices being so minimized I think that aspect is left needing help. LIKE it or not, Antonio Brown was notorious for the JUGGs and that is why they called him "big chest".......... (lol) My point being the repetition of catching trains to do it instinctively with no time of thought. Deonte should have been hitting this JUGGs machine a lot during the off season and we will soon find out if he did or didn't.

Don't lose sight of some of our other WRs need to be on the JUGGs as well, Chase Claypool had the drops and so did Ebron. Those guys have best been investing their time as well.

Exactly DIC, AB really seemed to go off
the rails after Birthdefect head hinted him and as much contempt as I had for AB at the end of his time with the Steelers all the young guns could really learn something from his work ethic...AB and juggs were best friends

Who cares whether we have 2...0....or 5. In the end it is someones opinion that has zero bearing on what we do next season. Just my take though.

Our current young WRs definately could learn from AB but what happened to our coaching...? Why haven't they been on these guy's ***** on hitting the JUGGs and hard work? Of course I'm not there on a daily basis and don't get to see the behind the scenes but it seemed like Deonte had to come to the conclusion of using the JUGGs on his own.....

Where was the coaching staff and if they were involved, why did it take so long to get him to use it??? I think it was around week 8-10 that Deonte said he started to hit it and of course it takes a week or three to see degrees of result.

EBRON is a prime example of lazy. He knows he drops and his blocking is subpar but you NEVER hear anything of him staying late and working hard on his short-comings.

Just saw I called Ebron Enron and another nickname is in the works lol...Enron the balls slides right through his hands, the defenders slide right by when he tries to block the big oil Slick Enron is on the scene bwahaha

I truly hope Muth steals the starting role from him as quickly as possible

If Enron keeps his slide Mojo going he will slip out of the starting position to a sure tractioned Freirmuth. I for one am hoping sooner than later.

Another side note on Freirmuth...................... I doubt he is thinking or speaking "red" carpet prematurely..........................
