I was thinking more along the lines of OTHER teams injuries...

Joe Flacco reportedly out up to 3-6 weeks

NFL Media reports that quarterback Joe Flacco is preparing to missed 3-6 weeks due to a disc issue in his back. At a minimum, he’ll miss a week or two.

Even the best-case scenario makes this an ominous situation for the Ravens and the 32-year-old Flacco, given that back injuries once they develop tend to not suddenly disappear for good.

Flacco is screwed. Discs can swell and go back with rest, but if he plays and gets hit, it will swell again. If he's lucky, he's going to be a candidate for a microdiscectomy. I had one done and returned to playing hockey in 2 months. It's the most minimally invasive surgery for the back. If he needs a fusion or a disc replacement, his career is most likely over.

I hope this is a very short list for the Steelers. The rest of the team's I could care less about. Best wishes to all...unless you're those cheating chowder eaters in fraudboro.

Back problems never go away, you're right, but the rest of your hysterical fantasy of his career being over and surgery talk is just a bit premature

I'm pretty sure my response is clearly listed as a hypothetical starting with the word if

He had surgery to repair his menicus. Was supposed to be a minor surgery but ended up being much more serious.

John Harbaugh: Ravens will add a QB, maybe Kaepernick

Via multiple Twitter accounts of reporters at practice, Harbaugh said the Ravens plan to add a quarterback, and he didn’t rule out Kaepernick.

Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore will undergo meniscus surgery and is out indefinitely.

The extent of Gillmore's meniscus tear won't be known until doctors look beneath the skin, but it would be a surprise if he were ready for Week 1. The Ravens did sign Larry Donnell on Sunday, but they may have to look into free agent Gary Barnidge as well. At least in terms of injury luck, no NFL team has had a worse offseason than Baltimore. Maxx Williams has reportedly been struggling in his return from knee surgery.
