Trading down in the draft

i am starting to think big al is going to sign for another year. not the best option, but an option

I haven't heard of anyone persueing him at all. I'd take the gamble by waiting until after draft and seeing what we get first and if not satifactory then persue Big Al at a discounted very friendly price, even if maybe just for depth.

Looks like Leatherwood is silencing the critics, well done.

I want to see the Steelers sign Gable Stevenson. Who is that, you ask? He's an NCAA heavyweight Champion and freakish athlete. check this out. He has Bettis type of quick feet. He is just amazing.

THats an awesome idea Bad cat. I watched him kick everyones *** in the big 10 championship and the nationals. It worked with carlton Hasslerig !

Having a wrestling background makes a better lineman.

any of you ever wonder what pass blocking against the best pass rushers on every down is like. ? I mean especially under Fichtner. We all new when ben was going to pass. So did the opposing defenses. So those rushers had their ears pinned back and coming after ben every play,. OH and there was no rushing attack to worry about.

I would sign AL back in a minute. But a 33 yr old minute. Price would have to be right. THEN i would draft his successor in the 1st or 2nd and let them battle it out .

I totally agree on the "D" tee-ing off and have soken many times about that topic. The key is price when it comes to Big Al. I realize the STEELERS know better than any of us as to where Big Al is in his career, ability wise. I think they are extending the curtesy to him to check out FA market and probably will make a cap friendly offer to him eventually.

I think we've traded down twice I can even remember, 2nd rounder and a 4th for a couple late 3rds and we drafted Wallace/Urbik. 2nd for a couple 3rds and we took Willie Reid/Anthony Smith. And both were after we'd won the superbowl and in years i believe we were missing 3rd round picks.

we traded back the year we took Hampton also and still got him

We basically need 2 starters on the oline and a starting running back. that is hard to do
