This is what I've got, after week 17......................

  • Patriots move from No. 2 to No. 1
  • Titans move from No. 4 to No. 2
  • Browns move from No. 5 to No. 3
  • Giants move from No. 1 to No. 4
  • Jaguars move from No. 3 to No. 5

Couple things, when was the last time we even picked in the top 10, yet alone top 5.

Currently, I think we are at 25.

I see us ending about at that good O'l ground hog day spot of 20.

What say Ye ?

With the tenth pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Steelers select Devin Bush, LB Michigan.

I hear yaz Trog, but I’m pretty sure we moved up for that one.

I guess I was meaning ended season in the top ten, not trade up…………..

20-23. The purgatory range.

Also, it's strange to see the Cheats at #1 - and AHEAD of the Stains. My ex-BIL is probably dying. He had $$$$ worth of Cheats garb.

0ats with #1 and they already have a qb. They are hoping someone falls in love with someone and comes qnd gets him

In that case, I think it was 2004 and Big Ben.

Pretty sure BEN was taken with the 11th pick overall, going out of memory..............................

I actually miss that BIL. He was a nice guy and I always liked having him around. EXCEPT when any talk about the NFL came up, I just wanted to go outside or anywhere. It was in-your-face Belichick, Brady, Gronk, Edelman and how the Steelers didn't have an answer.

Giants trade up to 1 QB Ward
2 Tenn Sanders
3 CLV OT Campbell
4 Pats CB Hunter
5 Jags DT Graham

just did a 3 rnd pff for us based on needs
1 DT/DE Grant UM
2 WR Higgens Iowa ST
3 RB Neal Kansas big productive back in case harris not back. can take a CB here or swing OT and instead take a workhorse like Mullings in round 4

Would be nice to have the rookie Higgins along with FA Tee Higgins.

Vicious cycle we find ourselves in.
Stuck in the middle, drafting average to slightly above average players, coached by apparently average to slightly above average coaches, resulting in average to slightly above average seasons, back to being stuck in the middle of the draft.

We need to get back to pre 1970 perennial losers I guess.

Then again we were in a similar position for an entire decade once before.
The 80’s under Noll resulted in being just a tad over .500 for the entire decade, but at least we won a couple playoff games.

Then somehow we were able to pull ourselves out of that rut in the 90’s.

The difference between then and now? Well for one thing, we got a new coach in the 90’s.

Was just digging into Steelers scouting to see if this was yet another unfunded group like the coaching staff.

It is quite shocking how little NFL scouts get paid and how little goes to the scouting department.

On average for NFL teams less than 3 million which is such a drastically lower percentage of income than almost any other industry spends towards R&D.

I’d think spending a bit more in this underfunded area could yield quite significant results come draft time for a team that loves to build through the draft.
