Blah Blah Blah.............Same old same old.
I am really getting sick of this guy. imagine how the players must feel.
I know the Rooney's are loyal, but what about being loyal to the fans that deserve a better product?

Lather, Rinse, and Repeat. Same Cliche's, same verbiage, same issues, but nothing ever changes.

I was so discouraged that I didn't make a Word Of The Week thread.

Lol what do you expect from a press conference? Ground breaking information? Every HC press conference from around is the same stuff... stop wasting your time with them.

I'll give him credit he did get on Brown for just running out if bounds on that last play and had a talk with him

Per Tomlin, the reason Jarvis was on the field for the last two Dallas drives and not Harrison was a coaching decision???? How the hell could anyone that was watching that game not see that Harrison was playing much better than Jarvis, let the head coach?

Yeah, that's a good question. I was mad anytime I didn't see James on the field. He's the best OLB we have.

Especially that final drive when Dallas would be passing to try to get into FG range

I think some players are starting to call out the coaches in a general sense.

Let me guess.....

"We are where we are and we have to accept it and own it...."

"We are gonna go to work and address our areas that need to improve...."

"Blah, blah, blah, blah"....worthless rhetoric that we all know means nothing.

I am over this fool. I am done with him. "Make the Steelers great again" is something that resonates with me, and it won't happen with Cool Shades. He is just hollow words and no action. And the players even know it.

Same talk he gives before a game, half time interview and post game. A lot of fine words that does not produce to this group of Steelers. Look out this week as we get ...we embrace going into a hostile environment.

My word, have you guys already forgotten Cowher's press conferences? "It is what it is"...."You are never as good you think you are and never as bad as they say you are"...."the game plan and execution wasn't on the same page"......"(random player) has a knee, quad, sprain of unknown severity"....I think most coaches follow the same line....hold everything close to the chest. Don't reveal anything you don't have to. Belichick PC's are mind numbing, borderline LSD relapses LOL. Rex Ryan, seems to enjoy himself at least.

Like I said elsewhere, the Rooney's need to light a fire under his *** and not give him an extension this time. Make him play for his next contract. It worked with Jarvis. Oh wait, no it didn't.

He's moving to Las Vegas, what?

The Rooney's have done this to themselves essentially making this guy untouchable. He knows he has the most security of any head coach in the league. He has no accountability since his job is never in jeopardy so there is never a sense of urgency on his part.
The Rooney's will not do a thing until the seats become less occupied and fan interest starts to fall off.

Yet another instance of Tomlin taking responsibility for another bad coaching decision............how many times does this guy have to openly admit that he screwed the pooch before there are repercussions?

I would argue that has already begun. I have seen more empty seats, or worse.......seats occupied by opposition fans, this year than any other year since I can remember being a fan.

Not to mention, and I know I'm not the only one, I willfully didn't watch the Pats game this year......... I almost gave my wife a heart attack, in the 13yrs we've been together she's never seen me miss a game let alone just not turn one on at all.

I can't be the only one and I bet some people are turning off more than one game.

Ticket sales have to be down, merchandise HAS to be down, and the fan base is already foaming at the mouth.

How long has it been since we've made a legit run in the playoffs?

Change needs to happen.

James Harrison being on the field could have changed everything with one play. He's the only man that seems to get pressure . Those kind of coaching decisions are completely unacceptable.
However you guys are correct it doesn't matter . He is untouchable , because of this we've watched a team with a HOF QB be ruined.

By the way hello guys. I've followed your board for a good while. I'd been posting from time to time at Steeler universe . Tried to remain loyal but just bit much activity over there .
Feel free to say welcome and FU to me at any time

Yes, but for the most part, Cowher spoke plainly, he didnt try to impress the room with his verbiage and platitudes. Sometimes I wonder if the Rooneys are paying Tomlin by the syllable
