He could say that this materially affects the Steeler's chances. Translation - 'it's bullshit'.

It's easy for him to say he 'doesn't care'. He doesn't have to weather the physical abuse of 13 games in a row. A 'player's coach' would 'elaborate' and take a fine for the team.

There's a great deal he could and should say about it.

Still trying to understand why this individual is the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He doesn't want to plant an excuse seed in players heads. But no worries the fans will get the message out that they think it is bullshit, not that it matters to the powers that be.

Hairball had no problem getting on the league for mask, Tomlin should have stood up as well. Players are sick and do not paly game goes on, exactly how many players were involved, as it mentioned organization, NFL at its best
 
Tomlin answered in tomlinism way. His hands are tied to the fact that we will contribute in a way that is POSSITIVE to the enhanced event that we are experiencing. If our men chose to make popcorn then we will have to build the fire it takes to curb the storm. We will be ready anytime of the day or any time of the week, just don't let fear interfere with reality of what we are experiencing at this time of the season schedule in relations to our BYE week as we can use the rest for we will not play this weekend. Our team as a whole will be ready and willing to make this right by playing as hard boiled eggs in a basket. That's just one basket to be clear.

I wonder what "warm and fussy" feels like.
 
The early bye week sucks and absolutely will have an effect on their chances. Game should not have been postponed. There weren't enough players infected. The contingency was always supposed to be multiple tests weekly to contain any spread and to use the extra practice squad players.

Look up the Steelers record with a bye this early. It is pretty amazing.

Past performance is not an indicator of future performance.
This sucks, but it is what it is. The team will adapt as best they can. The only piece that really irks me is the advantage it gives our main division rival against us in week 8. Will make it even sweeter when we kick their *** anyway.
