How is it that ESPN Calls Tomlin Coach of the year for pulling Rudolph and bringing in Hodges? Everyone and their blind mother could see that Rudolph couldn't read a defence and that Hodges wasn't afraid to throw the ball. PLEASE SHUT UP ABOUT TOMLIN AND COACH OF THE YEAR.

John Harbaugh should get it. He’s rebuilt that entire offense and improved his defense. Like him or not, he’s coach of the year.

Kyle Shanahan.

49er's won 4 games last year.

Or is there a coach of the year in each conference?

Currently, Tomlin is not COTY. If he were to finish the season winning out and possibly deep run in the POs, then maybe consideration but also realize the COTY is based on regular season and NOT playoffs. Keeping that in mind and winning out he would be 11-5 and still pailing to both 49ers & Ravens coaches.

Tomlin for COTY currently is just fodder at the water cooler and not many are thirsty.

And he DAMN sure ain't gettin' it if he loses to Kitchens TWICE!

oooooo....two anti-tomlin threads in one morning. How exciting.

Fact is Tomlin's doing a heck of a job keeping this team on track, despite all the roadblocks. He's been navigating a minefield since the moment Ben went down. Kudos to him and the coaching staff for preparing this team to win each and every week, regardless of opponent. For the first time in forever, the Browns actually represent a significant challenge. This is a huge game on Sunday, can hardly wait. And yeah, Tomlin is defenitely deserving of being in the conversation for coach of the year, no doubt about that.

I don’t think he will win COTY, but he definitely deserves to be in the conversation - especially if he can get us to 11-5 or 10-6

This is the same team that most everyone was predicting would have a top five draft pick when Ben went down. He has us solidly contending for a playoff spot going into December. GTFOH, if you can’t acknowledge that that’s quite an accomplishment.

If we finish 11-5, Tomlin IS coach of the year. One thing the niners and Ravens aren't dealing with, the injuries we are. It's not just Ben, it's Tuitt, it's Conner, it's Juju, the list goes on. IF we run the table on the rest of the season with our offense the way it is, there's no way he's not coach of the year.

Ever the optimist, but I have my doubts. Let's see if we survive Sunday, before the crowning.

My point as well, and if you give Tomlin the win out you must also give 49ers and rats the win out as well, in hypothetical of course.

Just to set the record clear I would like Tomlin to get COTY. I'd also like to see a step up in coaching all around including STs play. For him to obtain COTY he definitely needs to bring the A game the rest of the season. GOOD LUCK to him and the team's composure along with keeping the fire burning for POPcorn refreshments at the lab.

There is zero chance we finish 11-5, same as Tomlin's chance at COTY. There are relevant teams out there, unfortunately we are not one of them despite a great effort by the D keeping us on life support

The rats&niners hc I'd think lead the way on that. They both look like sb teams. I do think all of that running by the rats qb will come back to bite them before long

Hariball has done the jerb.

Games have not been played yet, so yes there is a chance.

Can we beat the Browns today- Yes
Arizona - yes
Bills at home - tough game but yes
Jets - yes
At Baltimore (possibly resting players) - yes.

One game at a time though - Finish it!
