Here’s the article....
They might not show up in the standings next season, but changes are happening within the culture of the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers are going to great lengths to transform a team that played through drama and distractions into one that focuses on football and maintaining a level of character.
When head coach Mike Tomlin spoke to ESPN’s Trey Wingo, he referred to the departure of petulant former Steelers Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell as a “cleansing,” which feels rather appropriate. When all this drama started, all I could think of is the line from the 2013 film “The Purge.” “Just remember all the good the purge does.”
While the team might not have the volume of talent it has had over the last two seasons without Bell and Brown, the ability to play in an environment free of distractions should counter those departures.

Losing Coach Peezy wasn't enough cleansing of the coaching staff though.
To bad the Purge didn't include coach Coolshades.
Except Tomlin is the cancer, "cleansing" is a hell of a way to spin losing the two most productive offensive weapons the Steelers have ever had on the field at the same time.
FU Tomlin

We have beat this subject to death. He should have handled the terrible twins better......
I mean a lot of good pros and cons have been talked about per dead horse.
But to call him a cancer? I have to strongly disagree.
The cancers are off the team they have been resected.

Well, they did act like turds.
And how many Lombardi's did those two bring us?
And how much internal dissension did those two bring us?
Look, I'm not absolving Tomlin by any stretch.
But you can wipe your arse and all our arses with the individual stats Bell and Clown put up.

That'd be Franco Harris and John Stallworth ( or Lynn Swan, if you prefer ).
They PRODUCED four SBs for us...........four more than those two yahoos.
And what did Tomlin do about it? He doesn't get a pass for this mess; he may even deserve most of the blame.

I agree, Tomlin is no cancer. Chlamydia maybe, if you will, but not cancer.
