Tomlin article On Why He Doesn't Make In Game of Half Time Adjustments

Route distribution standpoint... WTF? Who is distributing the routes? The defense? Does he mean ball distribution? Because Route distribution makes no ******* sense. What am I missing?

“You go through so many potential hypotheticals that a halftime adjustment could be something like, ‘hey, we thought there was a possibility that this, this, and this could be occurring. These two things are occurring, and this isn’t, and so this is what we’re doing moving forward’”

"Could be occurring"? Seriously? How about "Hey they are killing our LBs with their #1 WR, how about we not do that?" If this is the type of half time adjustments that goes on inside the locker room how did these morons ever win a game?
 
And we wonder why we get beat by the cheats over and over again. Not only do they have a **** ton of inside Intel on us,but they know we won't change a damn thing. ...**** I guess that's just about all teams we play.

While I poke fun, and I’m done and want change. ....I still stand firm that he is still a top 5ish coach in this league. Every coach, even god himself ***** up from time to time, somebhave certain issues they “always” **** up (err time management ), And others are employed for almost two decades without a playoff win.

I am Just at the point that we have very limited time left with this QB and offensive talent. We need change.

This might even give Butler to much credit. How can an adjustment, regardless of subtle, NOT be made on the LBs getting burned and this has been going on for several games.......... SHAZeir hasn't played in a year or so so that excuse is Nill. BLOWS me away

These last few weeks, every time he opens his mouth it seems like he's TRYING to get fired. His answers have just been terrible

-Blaming injuries to Burnett/Sutton on how Allen kept getting matched up on LBs -- please Mike your stubborn and outdated defensive schemes, and inability to adjust, are why that happened
-"Rhythm and flow of the game" - enough said

He needs to stop speaking unless he's trying to get himself fired
 
If any one thinks that his comments are OK, they are smoking crack. Love the one reader's comment that Rooney had better learn the distinction between loyalty and accountability. So done with this guy.
 
Chargers viewed the Steelers as static and inflexible allowing the Chargers to dictate the coverages. ******* great!

It's a good thing they play the pats**** this week so we don't have to worry about intelligent Qbs picking up on WRs being covered by LBs.... oh wait....

Oh, I wouldn't worry about that. The *pats have their division pretty much locked up, BB will likely lose this game on purpose just to keep from having to play a halfway decent coached team in the playoffs, like the Ravens. Its like how we sometimes lose to the Bengals so they won't fire Marvin Lewis.

The pats*** don't have home field wrapped up yet. Conference games are one of the tie breakers and all their losses have been in conference. They haven't even wrapped up their division yet. They aren't going to worry about who they play in the playoffs just yet.
 
Belichick probably gives them Steelers week off.. not like they need to game plan
 
Have you ever met someone who is so smart, but does stupid **** everyday? This type of person thinks things through 175%, and gets the first 90% wrong, all the while believing what they are doing is so much smarter then everyone else. These people get beat by those who concentrate on getting the first 90% right, every time.
 
Tomlin reminds me a lot of Dan Bylsma... the guy got the position at a relatively young age... had significant early success, and some of his early tactics were actually really good... but he is slow to change and stubborn on tactics that aren’t really good in the current game....

I think Tomlin is easily one of the better head coaches in the nfl, but that just means that nfl coaches are a very flawed bunch

I been saying we don't make half time adjustment for years. Now Tomlin confirms it. He's not a head coach, the mans is more of a cheerleader. We have to fire him and find better. Unreal.
 
I've said it before in another thread. Tomlin is a smart guy and would be great in public relations. He can spew **** with the best of them. He is good with the players and staff, BUT, he is not a good football coach from an X's and O's standpoint. He is just over his head.
