“What I will say is probably in my career, this is one of the best – if not the best – quarterbacks rooms, in general, that I’ve had,” Haley said Thursday as the Browns wrapped up their offseason workouts.

Hyperbole, ignorance, just a shot at his former team, or all of the above? It’s hard to say for sure but when you consider that the quarterbacks currently on the Browns roster are Tyrod Taylor, Drew Stanton, Baker Mayfield and Brogan Roback, it’s hard to imagine that group making the room the best Haley has ever had during his long NFL coaching career.

Remember, that in addition to overseeing a quarterback room in Pittsburgh that at one time included the likes of Ben Roethlisberger, Charlie Batch and Byron Leftwich in 2012, Haley was also the offensive coordinator of the Arizona Cardinals for a few seasons and during one of them the quarterback room consisted of Kurt Warner, Matt Leinart and Brian St. Pierre. In short, Haley has had one quarterback room that included a player now in the Hall of Fame and another that included a player that will likely one day be in enshrined in Canton.

Haley on #Browns QB room & Tyrod Taylor setting tone, being strength of it: "I think a lot. You've got guys that aren't real interested in helping other guys through the years & you got guys that are interested in helping & he's interested in this team being as good as it possibly can be."

Wow, talk about salty.

His wife's pictures were the best thing he had going and now she's washed up as well................

He is just jabbing where he can jab and who gives a rat's *** (except the rats). What part of reality does it even matter of his "best QB room" because it comes down to best QB out in the field of play that really matters. Todd, curl up and stay in the room as you'll be better off there.

Salute the nation

Yup. I can see it

I cant believe he and the wife haven't been a feature on Jerry Springer.

It's hyperbole. What else is he going to say? We have a QB room full of rejects and never rans? We have less experience in the QB room than 31 other teams? Come on, if you're getting worked up at this, you might as well just pick a fight with Haley at a bar...

Worked up, hell no. I always thought he was an ***.

For all of the passive aggressive shots Ben took at Coach Todd, I think Haley has a few free ones...as dumb as it sounds when he's worked with two HOF QBs.

Yeah I'm not worked up Cope(a-cabana), I just found it pretty ridiculous. Even Cleveland's May Kay Cabot was giving him a "WTF" on that one. But good point 448 makes, Ben's thrown some shade his way so I guess it shouldn't be surprising coach wants a little payback.

Not a big deal to me, but I agree with the poster that says Haley comes across salty.

He likes the QBs in the rooms potential, would have been good. But again not a big deal in the grand scheme.

I dont think Haley is saying the QBs in the room are the best, I took it as he was saying the attitude was the best atmosphere. Obviously he and Ben didnt get along and I believe there were clips of him and Kurt Warner going at it so I dont think his comments are that much of a stretch.

I took it as "none of these guys are HOF'ers or even All-Pro's. So, I can rattle some feathers in the room, make a few 'WTF' calls and not worry about the QB being pissed at my bullshit being the reason I'm let go."

I like the idea of Haley having job security ...... with the Browns

Worked with 2 established HOF QBs. Never developed one himself, and I don't think he can.
