Le’Veon Bell isn’t a player that you can forget easily. He isn’t a running back that trails on the stat charts behind other top running backs. Bell plays and plays hard. But how much do you give up for a player that is constantly in the limelight for his football plays, but also for his […]

At this point the absolute max and sensible contract..........GAURANTEED 2yrs 21 million. 3rd year option NOTHING more.

I know he would never sign that but let someone else sign him. He has pulled a ****** on this team last year and in the throngs of doing the same this year. People have talked him up with all types of justification and that is A-ok but NOT the amount of money he is asking for. It puts this team in to deep of a detriment. Teams are committing 4-8million on starting RBs we would comitt twice that thus giving other teams a 9million cap advantage to sign a few other higher quality players............ BELL isn't twice with seperated himself to the better but has shown he is pretty good but NOT to the double degree of SEVERAL others right on his tail of greatness. 10.5million definately pays him for his ability and couple that in with cap implications / advantages / health & one toke away.........well you can see my reasoning. Call me crazy but he can be replaced and we find with better or not but the drop off will NOT be huge. 25% drop off is cover able but I think reality is there will only be about a 5-10% drop off, realizing we need to actually draft a RB.

Salute the nation

Draft a RB if he does not sign his tag before the draft. Then remove it and move forward. You have 14.5 million reasons. Coming in half *** for a month after sitting out all of camp and preseason just isn't acceptable. Sign the tag! You're getting paid that lofty chunk of change no matter what then.

A winning organization does not pay a running back 17 million a year no matter how talented. A perennial loser that is looking to fill seats instead of win titles does.

His time here is coming to an end. I hope he takes the 14 million and plays the whole season hard. Then good luck to you at the end of it. I dont care if he comes to training camp. He has already proven that he can play well. Plus just more chance for injury. I just wish he would declare that part so they dont spend a first on a back they could get next year.

That is something very close to my opinion.

Tomlin knows if he doesn't have Bell, Ben an AB he will be a 6 - 10 head coach. Without Bell, Tomlin knows his lack of coaching acumen will be exposed.

And the rest of the team who shows up to work as a unit does not risk injury? I'm just way on the other side of this mindset. The risk is always around. That's why you condition your body to the highest level it can be. The prime example of this is Antonio Brown. The man works his *** off. At some point it has to be NOT about the money, but doing great things. Like winning a championship. It really can't be a team then one guy who is above it all on the outside. Just my thoughts anyway.

I know he is a big part of the offense. We all yell each year how poor we are in red zone and third and short. Bell has not been a positive factor in either of those situations. His continued social n media coverage has shown his self in not an overly positive way. So why to we continue to pat him on the back and say he deserves all the money he can get, so he feels he is worth more money than the team needs to fill some key positions on defense, what is he giving in return? He has been hurt he has been suspended yet he takes none of that in consideration in his tweet of all the Steelers do not do for him. Let him move on and see how he does in a system that does not have what the Steelers have on offense.

If he doesn't sign the tag, work on a tag and trade if possible. If not cut him a week before the draft. Eff him, and I hope other teams already spent their money, meaning he makes less than 14.5 million in 2018.
