NBA has set the Blue print...

They are finishing their season up & have had basically no incidents....Rather than cancel the season, they should look into 2 Bubbles.

For example...You could play 3 Saturday games & 3 Sunday games & rotate the Thursday & Monday games per BUBBLE to fill out the schedule...

Go EAST & WEST only...Take existing records, & remake schedule depending on who is in your Bubble....Playoff in each BUBBLE ONLY

WINNER FROM EAST PLAYS WEST IN SUPERBOWL...

It’s a little late for that..

Also, basketball teams are a little smaller than football.

**** the NBA. Piece of garbage league.

You want a solution or you want no season?

Honestly, no season at this point. This **** isn’t fun. No game can be really counted on being played so how can you really be excited or look forward to them.

2. Now the topics of discussion all Sunday will be the big COVID outbreak and how bad it is and the NFL is so good for shutting down the game.

3. When they aren’t talking about that, they’ll be talking about social justice and other ways to remind everyone that black are people too.

4. The games have a feel of preseason games, there’s little to no energy at these games. It’s an atrocious atmosphere and very flat.

So yeah, I’m fine with ending this **** show. Let’s hope next year we can walk into a store without a mask.

Bubble only works if the people buy into it. And how do you bubble 32 teams and play games in one bubble? You would need several bubbles and even then with the way the schedules are setup, this isn't realistic. The players and staff need to protect themselves at all costs and be responsible.

speak for yourself, i'm enjoying the games thus far. not every regular season game is gonna feel like the playoffs, so just relax.

You really are a sour puss...it's not too late at all. SteveA can't be the only one thinking this way because I made the same suggestion when the NCAA started shutting down their football season...

Or, over the next short while, the **** players and staff that tested positive will come back to work, demonstrating that there is very little risk for well over 99% of the population under 70 years old, especially those healthy athletes.

And then the population starts to understand that Home Depot, Walmart and every grocery store in the land has found a way to be open and not cause illness. And many, many organizations have gathered, many times, regularly, without illness spread. Read Tim's story of youth BBall tourneys in the Coronavirus thread. Positive tests should not be frightening to the VAST MAJORITY of the population.

Other than governments or people that are directly or indirectly funded by taxpayers, who wants to shut down? Those academics who have suddenly gained enormous power, politicians, and those dogmatic in their support of politicians....anyone else?

If ratings tells you anything.. whatever the NBA does, do not do that. The NBA games are like pickup games and no one, other than hardcore fans really cares who wins.

I've seen better games on the courts near my house.

Yeah, they have a terrible instant replay/challenge strategy....

C'mon, bro, the NBA and others have WAAAAY BETTER play reversal methods than the NFL. The bubble strategy was ingenious and you can bet that most sports will follow suit should we have another outbreak in the future...

Hey Berm,

NHL announced its bubble/hub plan first, and began its games first.

The Stanley Cup was awarded a couple days back.

I guess it was good for basketball to copy the hockey players.

I bet the damn soccer players in Europe actually got started first.....

Great big magic bubbles. Sorry youth porn flashback,

carry on.

I don't think the SB should have been a dated event. It should be week by week until 17 weeks are completed. Then bubble for playoffs. to get it done.

Every one knew this was a strong possibility but sure what all the whining is about. In the real word how many people have had to work extra or not get paid due to covid. These people are not millionaires. A bubble would not work in the nfl. Fields would not stand up to the pounding. Plus you have many more players and staff the bubble would have to be enormous. If players want to play they are going to have to suck it up and roll with whatever happens. I'm sure this won't be the last time teams run into this

How long has it been since I watched an NBA game? The last time I watched a game, a guy traveled and the refs called it.

With Cam now positive and 15% of the Titans positive it is AMAZING they haven't gotten a Bubble strategy together...

Also amazing that MLB was able to pull it off without a Bubble...

Put a condom on it Goodell

Rosters are too big, too much equipment for bubble.
To compare it to the nba, nhl is stupid.

Same as comparing to the mlb.
Football plays chew up more field than baseball.

The field would essentially become a hazardous surface.
The nfl should consider shutting it down if cases rise or play as normal.

Football plays chew up more field.

This is a huge one.

And games are only part of the problem. Teams have to practice which means fields but that is just the start. They have huge weight rooms for training, rehab, recovery, etc. Film rooms, positional rooms, locker rooms, laundry facilities etc. Then you have to find places to house and feed all of the players, coaches, trainers, equipment guys, etc, etc.

Pretty sure there won't be a bubble other than the one the OP would blow if he is chewing "BAZOOKA" bubble gum.

This was my biggest concern, STEELERS finally get everything in line and this pandemic interferes.

Salute the nation
