Thanks for posting Coolie, I hadn't been on the front page today to catch this.

I think George Pickens will grab those reigns and LOOK OUT Deonte Johnson because someone will be knocking on the #1's door. I hope like hell O'Canada has been pursuaded to change the passing attch some. Pickens will shine.

He should shine. hopefully he gets more balls tossed his way

The optimist in me thinks that does kind of justify it… the cynical part of me says the reality is that we were just clearing the way for gunner to get more snaps 😂

Pickens would have already shined just enough for me to win my fantasy match last week, if our hero Head Coach Mike Tomlin had only challenged that 21-yard catch which was incorrectly ruled incomplete. That's 3 points. I lost by 1.5.

Personally I felt a log jam at WR and this frees up to not only get Pickens more looks but Muth. Claypool was one hell of a talent and really wished he was able to put it all together with us. Hopefully he can do that with the Bears.

Pickens should shine, but should have been shining already if we had someone other than the idiot we have at OC that could design plays to utilize him properly. I'm not holding my breath for this season but hoping for next.

Pickens will get more looks by default, but for Muth to get more looks that would involve using the middle of the field. The reality is our WR core + muth + harris should have been in the upper tier of the league, but we have coaches who have no clue how to use them. We had JuJu, claypool, and DJ and couldnt figure out how to use them w/ Ben. Just no clue on the offensive side of the ball

George Pickens is one of those guys I just instantly liked. Watching him at Georgia I already knew what the Steelers had drafted. I'm rooting for him to be THE guy. Get it George!

WHY would you trade Chase Claypool or any WR and let Calvin Austin stay on IR for the rest of the year?

Maybe,....................... because he is hurt...................... just a therory........

THIS, big time!

Until the offensive scheme is changed or modified to an actual PRO-type offense, this will be the problem. Core problem is coaching.

Defenses started stacking the line 3 years ago. They have no OL that can push them around and the offense is a few yards past the LOS or behind the LOS. Gosh easy to defend all around and get a pass rush.

What they're doing will never work as a full time gig.

Until they climb out of being a one dimensional offense. It's going to be rough sledding with ever pass play being a highly contested battle for the ball.

That's ridiculous. The only log jam is in the heads of the coaching staff that seems to have no clue how to use or get the most out of the talent they have. Look at the Bengals. they have Chase, Higgins, Boyd at WR and Hurst at TE. Probably as talented of a receiving group as there is in the NFL. Seems to be enough balls to go around for those guys.

If Claypool was holding Pickens back, why not just move him down the depth chart and elevate Pickens?

Pickens is going to be good but that's a lot to put on a guy when it's already the middle of the season and he really hasn't played much. Hopefully, he's getting a ton of reps this week and next.

Pickens has all the God given talent needed to excel...

I just have a slight concern about the matter between his ears and being mature enough to handle being a pro...

His on the field and sideline body language concerns me....

This is what concerns me the most. He gives off very poor vibes when things are not going well. Then you have DJ who gets one QB benched over an argument and now likes a post of the other QB getting sacked. Not firing Canada really sends a bad message. If nothing else it would give the team a shot of energy. Not doing anything shows they are satisfied with how things are going

as I said before - Pickens is who we wanted Claypool to be.
Dude's a baller.
