I know it's been discussed a lot but we are ahead of the Jets based on number 3 below not number 6 below. In common opponents we are 3-1 and the Jets are 2-2.

Two Clubs:

1. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs).
2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
4. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
5. Strength of victory.
6. Strength of schedule.
7. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.
8. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.
9. Best net points in common games.
10. Best net points in all games.
11. Best net touchdowns in all games.
12. Coin toss.

Yes, we were only behind the Jets based on the AAFC games played... we both had 4 afc losses and they hadn't played their last NFC team till this week.... however both the Browns and the Pats are common opponents so there is still a chance this goes down to #5 strength of victory... figuring that out is simple... ignore all the teams that were losses, eliminate everyone the two teams both beat, and then add up the victories of the rest of their opponents.... make sure if a team was beaten twice to count it's record twice... we have a pretty substantial lead on them in this area right now...

If the Steelers can't beat Baltimore and Cleveland, both of whom are using 2nd- and 3rd-string quarterbacks, they don't deserve to be in the playoffs.
