Thoughts on these FAs?

12up has some pretty off the wall **** on there.

They were reporting we were possibly trading AB to Philly for Paul Turner and their #1 a couple weeks ago.
 
We need DL depth and I think in rnd 3 Jaleel Jhonson would be a perfect fig strong asa oxe and has similar voilent hands like Tuitt. If we cant get Dre Kirpatrick then Prince Am.... is a decent CB to bring in to add depth and push gay and Cockrell.
 
Would Marshall be a good fit for the Steeler offense?

I know he's been a beast in the past and shared the field with other formidable receivers, seems like another premier option for Ben would be a good move.

Problem is that this is typically the kind of FA the Steelers don't approach and our FA money would probably be better spent on a corner.

15) Nick Perry, Green Bay Packers linebacker
25) Micah Hyde, Green Bay Packers defensive back
33) Brandon Marshall, New York Jets wide receiver
49) DeMarcus Ware, Denver Broncos linebacker
54) Brandon Carr, Dallas Cowboys cornerback
64) John Simon, Houston Texans linebacker
98) Darius Butler, Indianapolis Colts defensive back
 
Think we are looking at tier 2 or 3 free agents. Don't think we are day 1-2 buyers, but I could be wrong. I do agree there is urgency to add some players before Ben is gone. I think ownership is aware that we have a window we are working with
 
We need upgrades over Cockrell and Gay, we don't have time to wait on another rookie CB, and Cockrell is ok against bigger WR's, but not quick shifty WR's. AJ Bouye come on down!
Does anyone really like ant to go into next season with Cockrell, Gay, Golson opposite of Burns? I guess NE would be thrilled.
 
Thinking about Brown and Marshall on the same field is kinda exciting. Both NFL vets with sure hands. Can you imagine the bets those two could think of, lol.

Have to feel pretty good that the only 2 FA of any significance the Steelers may lose are Timmons and D Williams. Would love some secondary help.

Logan Ryan and Kirkpatrick are the guys we could potentially sign. I don't want Ryan.
 
Wonder if Steelers have interest in Cordarelle Patterson. He'd solve the return issues and also would be a deep threat upgrade to DHB. He is apparently too dumb to learn how to be a real WR, but he can be a 1 trick pony that the Steelers offense uses at times.

Rumor that Pats signed Gilmore because they are going to trade away Malcolm Butler to NO for Brandon Cooks
