Im not saying their coaches are bad. Records speak forbthemselves. But when things go poorly they have no ability to schematically win. They win by staying within their character. If the other team can handle that character they are ******. Ill give you a perfect example. Inside the 10. Jacksonville's stength was clearly coverage all day. Im inside tge ten I get those players off the field. I go big and I pull Bell. He is not suited to running inside the ten. Nix and Watson for tge first two downs. Both coordinators are bad. At times they look good but at times they just look awful and leave any intelligent person with any football knowledge scratching their head.
Despite the run d's issues the Steelers have the number 4 rated D. You tweak the run, whatever players need tweaked. But firing him would be a little silly.
They look good when the teams character fits opponent. When the other teams personnel and execution can match it there is no plan b. And you are right both sides. Even after the second pick six they are two scores down and a whole quarter. Jax started the drive inside their ten and with zero passing got a field goal. How is that even possible. You cant pit in a front to stop that? Really.
