It is realy hard to FANTHOM when off the street ameture fans as ourselves can point out the proven stupidity of game scheme.

I know there are a lot of details that we don't know but it's those details that make great coaching and if by judging from the product on the field, then many a details .are being missed currently. This fact would allow many of us ameture fans to coach up this team.

I was miscommunication. They were suppose to be in a 4-4-4.

**** that! It's a piss poor way to play defense and it is dictated by Tomlin himself.
 
I'm still hoping for the "Pittsburgh nine" defense. It has nine dbs and two punt returners.

They really need some big changes. So many it should require a new coaching staff.

This team has had one too many "communication issues".
 
3-3-5 would work better if you want to occupy more blockers kick heyward back to DE put Mcullers in the miuddle or Tyson and Tuitt at DE Dupree and Watt on the edge Barron at Mack Bush as your spy and the rest of the CB and S's same but ocassionly Hilton or Edmunds blitzing

Football is not rocket science and if most average fans dedicated 60 hours or so to it a week like the coaches do they could do as good or better job than the professional coaches. There ate not many brilliant people in the coaching ranks , see Tomlin , Kitchins, etc as examples. What smart person would choose coaching as a vocation when you have poor entry level.pay , must move around the country every few years when starting out and has very little job security?
 
Obviously we’re not going to read into this. It’s all popcorn. The scheme is completely above the neck and puts our players in autonomous position to miss splash plays.
 
Dupree needs to be in a 2 point stance he was at his best in college as a de he is merely avg vs the run and is strictly a RE 4-3 they need to put him wide at 6"6 270 he is fast and needs to challenge the RT to match his speed and kick out and in between that gap a guy like Bush or Barron Vince come on a cross blitz. It always worked with Woodley and Timmons Woodley Farrior Dupree Shazier

I rewatched the San Fran game and his swim move looked like he was either trying to do his best Elaine Bennis dance or he’s signaling for a life preserver
 
can anyone find the personnel used on the two plays prior? here's the scoring plays from the 1:

1st & Goal at PIT 1

2nd & Goal at PIT 1

(9:13 - 3rd) Alvin Kamara 1 Yard Rush W.Lutz extra point is GOOD, Center-Z.Wood, Holder-T.Morstead.

Saints ran two times before from inside the 10. First was for 7 yards, second was for a yard. Kamara enters and I assume the Saints were going for a passing down since Kamara had better hands than Ingram.

Not making excuses for Butler, as I'd love to see him shitcanned yesterday. Just trying to maybe understand what these guys were thinking.
