There's only 1 thing left to hope for this season...

Paper champions who started buying their press, and a HC who did not have the experience at the time of hire. The same HC whom plateaued years ago, but was an affirmative action hire, so can not be let go. I have said it for YEARS, affirmative action harms more than it has ever helped.

Keep those racist conspiracy theories in the P&R forum.

At this point, the Rooney's stubborn insistence on keeping Tomlin makes me think that our best hope lies in new ownership. Personally, I don't think Dan would have put up with this mediocrity. Even if Tomlin is fired, the next coach would have a blank check for 10 years and there's no guarantee he would be significantly better. Just because the Browns fire coaches every 2 - 3 years doesn't mean it's always a bad idea.

Be here next week when our guest will be Art Rooney ii,

He will start off the show with:

Art Rooney ii - Mike Tomlin ...that's my coach. That's my head coach. We lost as a team, we lost as a team.

Hopefully I wont be around next week for that installment. The first one was lame enough.

I modeled it after Tomlin's responses. Of course it is lame!

Damn rough critics around here I tellya, eeesh.

:biggrin1:

Not taking the TOs had no effect on the outcome of the game

You think an extra 1:13 on the clock couldn't have possibly resulted in a different outcome?

Is that you, Mikey?

Not taking a timeout had a huge effect on the game. First we never got a chance to win the game with a TD against a poor defense. Secondly, only a lucky low percentage hook and ladder play even got us a FG attempt.
