A little comparison who do you think will be the better receiver in Steelers history when it is all said and done

AB's first 3 (THREE) complete years in the league 151 catches 2062 yards 13.7 yds/c 7 TDS

AB's age at the end of the 2012 regular season 24 years 174 days old

Superbowl wins 00000000000000000 ain't happening

Evaluation ---good hands, good quickness, yards after the catch, small bodied, big headed and blocks like Sela Ward (she used to be better but she is 62 years old now so I would have to give the edge to AB now)

JuJu's first 2 (TWO) complete years in the league 169 catches 2343 yards 13.9 yds/c 14 TDS

JuJu's age at the end of the 2018 regular season 22 years 39 days old

Superbowl wins ????????????????? remains to be seen

Evaluation - good hands, good at winning 50/50 balls, yards after the catch, big bodied, big hearted and blocks like HINES WARD

I don't subscribe to Twitter or Instagram so anyone feel free to forward this to AB and JuJu

Sela Ward was a bad blocker all her career. Funny how her son Hines Ward was an incredible blocker. Definitely didn't learn it from momma

Unfortunately JuJu probably won't get as many seasons with Ben as AB did.

I wonder what Wallace would've done had he stayed? His first 3 years
171 catches, 3206 yards, 24TD's, 19ypc.

I could be wrong, but the only wide out who has left who has done well after they left Ben is Emmanuel Sanders. He actually got a lot better as time wore on

He was never a full time starter here either, he was in Denver, he did catch 67 passes and 6 TD's here his last season while only starting 10 games.

I agree JuJu won't have Ben R. for the 2nd half of his career but I am very optimistic that Mason Rudolph will develop into a very good QB if he sits behind Ben for another 2 years. Watch his tape from college and the way he delivers the football for a guy with a 6'5" 230 lb frame. I think the Steelers scored some value picking him in the 3rd round. By the end of his 3rd year I think JuJu barring any injury will be well ahead of Wallace's numbers except for the ypc category. The pick up of D. Moncrief will help JuJu and I would love to see N Harry, AJ Brown, or P. Campbell in the 2nd round and David Sills or Deebo Samuels in the later rounds of the draft to compliment the receiving corps release DHB and Justin Hunter if these younger dudes can play special teams as well.

As for Wallace he really would have had better career numbers had he stayed because Ben can still throw the long ball. I just never trusted that guy to go up and fight for a ball and win. Case in point the last drive against Green Bay in the Superbowl. He was fast but did not have the body control to put himself into good position on a consistent basis to compete for a throw that wasn't right in his lap.

No matter what I am looking forward to the draft and a surprisingly good year, now that the soap opera cast has relocated to the Raiders and Jets.
I should take a trip to the Jets game and wear my # 26 Steelers jersey to show my support for one of the greatest players to ever suit up in a Steelers uniform. It has been hanging in my closet for years now and it is about time to sport it proudly again. Thanks for the memories ROD WOODSON my guy!!
It dishonored the #26 having someone else wear it these past 5 years almost as much as if Jarvis Jones was wearing the number 58 or 59 Steelers jersey.
Yes that much !!

It is just ridiculous to try and compare JuJu to arguably one of the top 5 best WR's to ever play. No one has come close to AB's production over a 6 or 7 year period. As much as I hate him and as much as some on here don't think he's already a lock for the HOF, he is. The only question for AB is will his antics keep him from being a 1st ballot HOFer like TO. JuJu will be very good but he has a loooooooooooooong way to go to be in the same breath as AB. Oh yea, **** you, AB!

Never cared much for one trick pony.
If the ball was placed perfectly, he would thrive. If the ball was one inch off target, no fight.

AB is a ******* clown. JuJu is off to a great start, but having the best WR in football across from him doesn't hurt. He's well on his way, but who we stick on the field opposite him will impact his numbers.

Go easy I was doing a "little" comparison of the beginning years to their careers. Stating things like the age factors and what each guy brings to the table from the start. Hence who will have the greater career when it is all said and done. Check back in 13 years to provide your opinion.

I agree AB is a hard working person with much talent who was given the chance to play on a successful team, with an established QB and a compliment of good quality offensive players around him. He received a ridiculous number of targets over the past 6 years so I would expect a professional WR to make a large number of those grabs. His run after the catch elevates him to another level and his body control on sideline catches is off the chart. All that said, he has made ALL PRO more than once and has many PRO BOWLS to his credit. No Superbowls yet?? He will probably make the HOF one day but I suggest his production in Oakland will be a balancing act of feeding AB's stat line opposed to doing what it takes to win games. I watch a lot of sports and one thing I have noticed over the years is that a fan base will support its great hard working players eg. Joe Thomas Cleveland Browns throughout their career if they demonstrate class, effort and desire to win as a team. Guys like T Owens wear out their welcome quickly by displays on and off the field no matter how talented they are. Antonio Brown has not only burned the bridges, but all the houses and hotels he has ever stayed in. Raider Nation will love him or hate him depending on how he performs on the field and nothing else. I think he is lucky to be relocating to Vegas because as his production slows he can always find work as a dancing HIP HOP HIPPO. He just wants to be the center of attention. Everything else is smoke and mirrors.

In regards to the statement that no one else is close in production to him well that is debatable because of factors like a quality QB, friendly number of targets, use in the red zone, etc. But here are a few guys that compare rather well
Jerry Rice had stretches comparable for 10 year span good teams, HOF QBS
Calvin Johnson no excuse about double teams -who else was there to support him
Julio Jones right on pace with AB - dumb *** offense doesn't utilize him in the red zone
Odell Beckham Jr super athlete but injuries have stalled production so his longevity may be in question
Deandre Hopkins dude does not drop the damn ball --who the hell are his QBs ???

up and coming stars Mike Evans and Michael Thomas all these guys are elite but it is a team sport -- without the supporting cast
who cares how many yards you get in a loss just ask Megatron

If AB had created no waves and a deal with Buffalo was accepted and he just went away quietly fans may have felt differently.
Dumb *** comments, social media, taking a film crew to D Carr's house a little over the top. What happens if they draft a QB.
Who is AB going to support D. Carr or his new meal ticket?

Well said
D Moncrief was a nice pick up and this draft has a lot of depth at WR with the number of picks we have --if we don't use them to trade up I hope we select a couple of WR's one in the mid round and one later on

I don't think he's comparing the two in totality because he can't. JuJu has been in the league two years. He's simply pointing out JuJu is off to a better start. That doesn't mean he's headed to the HOF. It doesn't mean he's going to sustain the same incredible numbers AB did with one Ben Roethlisberger.

He's simply saying that starting out, JuJu has better numbers than fuckstick. And I, for one, am glad he did.

JuJu will be a VERY good career WR for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Eventually when he does get that BIG contract, I've got a feeling he won't be nearly as affected and will remain pretty grounded. Currently JuJu is light years ahead of ab as a man, a team mate, and role model. As for on the field production, right now into this 2years, JuJu is also ahead of ab per ab's first two years. JuJU is our future and I'm thankful ab is our past, as in GONE and don't come back no more........

Salute the nation

Exactly what I was attempting to point out in the original post.
I hope Ju Ju keeps it up and remains a Steeler WR for years to come.
With his young age and the start he has had to his career I don't see why he could not reach the top 4 in receiving yards for a Steeler player as long as he remains healthy and resigned to a four year extension after this contract expires.
One thing I am glad of , is that Hines Ward is still number 1 in receptions, receiving yard and TDS for a Steeler WR
Brown would have easily passed him - Good luck achieving those numbers in Cali and then in Vegas

Wards career #'s 1000catches, 12,083 yards, 85 TDs.
ABs #'s 837 catches, 11,207 yards, 74 TDs.
He hasn't matched Wards #'s so he's not a HOF if he stopped playing now.

I think he still has some work to do before being considered and his public image has been tarnished. There are just so many WRs with huge numbers to be considered. Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson and Calvin Johnson would be the next big names eligible I would assume. Imagine the numbers some of those guys would have put up if they played on good teams or had consistent quality QBS during their whole career.

That is absolutely right. Look at the king, Jerry Rice, he had two HOF QBs throwing to him and look at the resulting numbers................. JuJu will get near half his career with BEN and that is a huge plus. As for Rudolf.......... That has yet to be seen but in the early stages Rudolf will be fortunate to have JuJu to throw too.

One thing to think about though is Rudolf is one of the shitheads on our beloved STEELERS team that is "like" ab's tweets.

This is going to be a huge opportunity for the receiving corps , especially JuJu, J Washington and D Moncrief. As for Mason Rudolph I hope you are wrong and I sure don't see anything rivaling AB and his social media. Rudolph wasn't really welcomed into town but the tape I watch on him and the way he connects with J Washington looked pretty promising. I think once he knows the offense inside out he will pass Dobbs on the depth chart. I wish the Steelers would give some opportunity to play young QBS in games like the Carolina Panther blow out. Give a QB 10 minutes of the 4th quarter not just some hand offs and kneel downs in the last 3 minutes of a game that is in total control. I am not saying put them in and air the ball out down field but at least give them the chance to make some check downs or intermediate routes in a game situation. Hopefully Ben has 3 good years left in him and Rudolph establishes some confidence in all of us to move into the starting role when that time comes up.

I feel bad for Ward he played until he was 28 without a franchise QB, and even Ben's first couple years we weren't throwing it all over the place and the rules weren't totally pass happy yet, so he played half his career with Kordell, Tomczak, Graham, and Maddox. His numbers would blow his current numbers away if he was with Ben in this era his entire career.
Ward gets shafted on the HOF because of that, he ended his career as the NFL went pass happy, and not that he's eligible these guys are putting up crazy numbers, but no one takes into consideration his QB's he played with, the era, and on a run first team with a HOF RB.

Ward was a physical WR especially for his size. He has decent numbers, 2 Superbowls a MVP,and some Pro bowls It takes quite a few years for the process to play out because of the sheer number of eligible players. Isaac Bruce, Tim Brown and even our own SWANN and STALLWORTH took many years. There are not too many WRs known for their blocking skills so that is another plus for Ward. He will get there eventually but I think you may see, Troy ,Allen Faneca and maybe even Ben before you see Hines inducted.
A couple more years of production will probably see Antonio Brown become eligible. I hope Hines is celebrated before Mr Big Chest because I think the HOF should reward solid players who also represented the league in a positive light ahead of those who work hard to tarnish it.

I would take Hines type player over brown type
Players 7 days a week
