The Senior bowl thread

Attention draftniks, The Senior Bowl is upon us. A place where the best collection of collegefootball players that are seniors or in some cases junior’s with a red shirtcan compete in practices for the week, followed by the game itself on January26[SUP]th[/SUP], 2019.The competition is fierce. Some guys rise their stock, others see theirs tumble. NFL network covers the practices. For web updates I recommendWalter Football.

Last year 84 players ( of the roster of 117 listed players )were drafted, six of whom went in the first round. I don’t have data as how many made NFL teams as a rookie Free agent, but I'd image quite a few.

and there is your player to watch.

switched from wr to CB 2 years ago. Still has things to learn, but big and fast and a better than average tackler

WR to CB, is this an omen to his ability to catch the football? Like Bill Parcells said a while ago, if DB's could catch they would be receivers. LOL

I want to check out the safeties, corners, inside linebackers and edge rushers!Playmakersare needed for the defense.

I’d like to see Davis, Sensabaugh,Bostic/ Williams ( 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] downs ), and maybe Dupree eventually replaced.

A few names I’ll be looking to see:

Josh Allen, OLB. Probably a top 8-15 pick .SEC battle tested
Mike Edwards, S.10 picks in the last four years, 21 tackles for losses, 23 PD’s.SEC

Amani Oruwariye CB, Really came in in the past two years.7 picks, 18 PD’s. BIG TEN. PSU fans. what do you think?
Cameron Smith. ILB Allover the field, could be the 3 down ILB we are looking for. USC
Juan Thornhill. S. A real ball hawk type, 12 INT’s, 25 PD’s in the last three seasons. Virginia

How's his speed and change of direction ability? You don't see many of those 6'4" corners. A fairly productive player. 66 tackles his year, he's either very strong vs the run or tackles a lot of players after they caught the ball. Which is it? We need DB's.

not sure of his 40 time, but the kid he runs down about 20 seconds in is Justin Stockton who reportedly ran a 4.38 40......he is strong against the run game can fight off blockers on the wr screen plays.

Ben Banogu- undersized athletic pass rusher. Need to see him standup and see what he might offer in the way of coverage.

Garrett Bradbury- Pouncey is turning 30 and Foster is all but gone. Bradbury is an undersized but athletic interior lineman.

Germaine Pratt- converted safety to lb. his speed and athleticism intrigued me especially when we are still looking for Shaziers replacement.

Renell Wren- tall athletic defensive lineman with very little technique. A guy you’d want to coach and talk to to see if he can absorb coaching.

Good info. If he's not quick enough for corner, I wonder how he'd do as a free safety since you said he's strong vs the run.

Will be following his combine / pro day.

According to the really smart media people, every single player should refuse to play this meaningless bowl game because they could get injured. It's a business decision.

You see when you praise these kids for making a business decision, it means you must be an extra smart business type person too. Oh and don't forget to say the average student athlete is exploited. That means you are down for the struggle.

This depends. Guys can improve their stock with a good bowl game. This is especially true for the players that do not play against the best competition or do not have a lot of games played to look at.

Bowl game play should be mandatory.

The player is shorting the NFL teams on match-up film, on a bigger stage.

wait? Coach wants to see my johnson.....

no chance buttercup

Funny, I guess you can say I don't care if the players a D**k, as long as he can play.
