Ben to Santonio will get undervalued like anything else to do with Ben. It always does. If you are going to put Montana to Clark even on the list then Ben to Holmes is number one. It isn't really close. I know a lot of you have a big thing for the Immaculate Reception, I get it. It was the ****** Superbowl. It won the game and the degree of difficulty was through the roof.

You can make a case that 4 of the top 10 plays in NFL history involved the Steelers.
Immaculate Reception
Deebo's pick six in the Super Bowl.
Stonio's catch in the Super Bowl.
Fast Willie's 87 yard TD in the Super Bowl.

Randle El's TD pass to Ward
Swann's catch falling to the ground in SB X
Stallworth's TD late against the Rams
Rocky Bleier's catch at the end of the 1st half in SB XIII (just because of all he had overcome)
Lambert throwing Harris to the ground for taunting Gerela after a missed FG

It's simply because Ben threw it. Imagine if it was Brady, Manning, Brees, Rogers, Eli, Rivers...literally any other QB and they call it the greatest play in NFL history. The pass was simply remarkable and it came in the biggest moment of the biggest game. As close to a walk off in football that you can get.

100% correct. They were down on the scoreboard. A mistake could have ended it. It was basically the situation that every kid that loves football recreates playing in their back yard in their imagination. It was Montana to Clark with more difficulty and oh yeah it was for the SB not a conference championship.

That SB XLIII (IMO) had two *maybe* three of the greatest plays in SB history. Deebo score (COME ON!!) Fitz late game run (dude was DOMINANT that year in playoffs) then the Holmes tip toe in last
30 seconds. Why this game isn't regarded as the top game of all time is a mystery, but I bet it has everything to do w/the fact it was AZ. Very little to 0 history in championships or SBs. Not a **** ton of regular season success year after year as well. If that was against SF or Dallas, I bet it gets more run. But, as a whole, I can't see a better one on the list.

For pure skill exhibited by both players Ben to Santonio should win hands down. The catch....the throw, the amount of time left in the game. Should be no contest. The “Catch” with SF had no where near the degree of difficulty. To hear a 49er fan talk it’s like Dwight jumped 10 feet in the air. The throw Ben made the play before was just as great....Santonio just out and out missed it.

What about 2019 COY tripping Jacoby Jones!
