Thats what I'm hearing on 93.7 The Fan and read on ESPN Sports. The Fuhrer Roger can exercise that option if he sees fit to replay the NFCC game from Sunday against the Saints and Rams. Not sure if the game would get started from beginning or it gets picked up from the spot of the non-call but the rule exists and its the discretion of the Fuhrer.

I won’t watch another NFL snap if that happened.

Not a chance in hell does he open Pandora's box...where do you draw the line.

but Rule 17, Section 2, Article 1, as noted by Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio, does exist.

I'm not saying it will happen but the rule is in place.

I think there are two options if you want to believe ESPN. They can replay the game or pick it up where the penalty occurred. If he didnt invoke the power instantly, it is not even really possible to do it now.

The league has created a horrible situation. They lose if they do, and they are losing as they continue this garbage. It's worse than a dumpster fire. It's a class A disaster

That would be great. I really don't give a **** but it would be interesting.

WOW. If Roger can do this, he will have my respect. I highly doubt he will. It would cost him the support of the LA Rams owner for ever, and they were already screwed by New England video taping their final walk through practice for the Super bowl years ago.

There's no frickin' way they do that.

The refs did what they were told to do. He's not going to throw them under the bus like that. There is WAY too much risk of ALL the little monsters getting out of Pandora's box. The bookie-fixing is on like Donkey Kong and the league does NOT want Joe bettor to think too much about that.

"Hey, LA Rams, you know about the hotel plans to Atlanta, NFCC hats and shirts you're wearing from the triumphant victory in NO. . . hold on for a second. . . there is a change of plans.. . . "

The time to do that was when they were lining up for the next play.

It is too late now. Jerome Bettis proved that you just don't run the ball 3 times and kick a FG.

ANYTHING can happen.

Besides, Roger would be awful busy on Sunday intervening in games that his officials were busy ******* up.

Oh yeah Dave there was no guarantee even if the PI was called. There could have been a bad snap, fumble or even a missed chip shot FG. Unlikely but possible.
There is no way the Fuhrer is invoking that rule. Just thought interesting that it even existed. Why even have it if you’re never going to use it.

It won't happen. If they had the lead at that point and then lost the lead to lose the game, it would be more likely he might use it. They will say there was only a 99% chance of him making the kick after they kneeled down 3 times to run the clock down.

**** him if he did that, and did zilch to NE for ******* cheating. I'd be done with the NFL if he did, but let NE cheat for years.

the only way this would ever happen, and even then it's a stretch, would be if a team were down by 2 and that happened in FG range, or if they were down by 4 or 5 and it happened in the endzone, and it was the very last play of the game.

The Saints still ended up with the lead after that, but couldn't make a stop(agreed if they call that, they wouldn't need to make a stop) but that's his out.

You want to fix it?

1) Quit coddling officials

2) Quit calling them Part Time. Are players part time? Coaches? They have a ******* union don't they. How many part time jerbs have unions?

3) Make them available to the media after the game. **** them. They want their face time during the game, let them explain themselves afterwards.

4) why does everybody involved in the game down to the ******* kicker have to explain away their mistakes but the officials get a free ******* pass? Because their job is so hard? Give me a break. Because they're beyond reproach?....unbiased, objective, and pure, like a journalist?? Give me a ******* break.

There it is folks, what Dave said. Make these guys full time, accountable and available to media. Go a long way in fixing this ****.

I think we all agree with Dave, but how long have we, as fans, been beating the same drum with the same beat? What is Rog's annual salary and they can't afford FT officials? It's a complete farce and joke.

If **** calls are an extraordinary act then they will he replaying three games from the Steelers season. An extraordinary act would be like a fix happened or an attack on a player from a fan.
