Bell accepts and acknowledges that he made a mistake. While he is appealing the suspension, able to see that he put himself in this situation to begin with. Brady? Arrogance and denial.

"I made a mistake," Bell said. "I'm going to just have to do my time, whatever the final decision may be. Get past it, and get ready for next season and continuing to be the great football player I know I can be."

I thought I mentioned that Bell was appealing his suspension.

Anyway, keep the faith that Brady only "probably" knew. And continue to ignore the differences in burden of proof in civil and workplace issues versus criminal cases. Wells didn't say "he probably knew". He said it was "more probable than not" that he knew. More probable than not being the language used in civil and labor law when one wishes to show that they have met the standard of proof in such cases(preponderance of the evidence). It would have been absurd for Wells to have used "beyond a reasonable doubt" as his standard of proof in his investigation as the matter was not a criminal investigation. So, he stated that it was "more probable than not" .. i.e. Tommy Boy is guilty as ****.

In any event, back to the original topic... I love the mature manner with which Bell is taking his medicine. None of this whining through agents, lawyers, dad and owner crap. Just "I did it. I accept responsibility for my actions. I have learned from my mistake."

The longer Brady & the Cheatriot organization goes on about this Deflategate crap the more they look like a bunch of frikkin cry babies.

Kraft suspended the two equipment guys without pay last week before the verdict was reached on a Brady suspension. If Brady is innocent the one thing he can do to in all likelihood completely clear his suspension is to release his cell phone text records and prove his innocence. I personally hope he is subpoena his phone and his text records so the entire world can know for sure once and for all that Brady is a cheater and the whole organization knew this was going on for years! It's as simple as this if he's innocent of all allegations just release your cell phone texts Tom!

Its so nice to have our own in-house pet troll. One of these days I'll play with it

And if there was no tampering, why suspend the equipment guys? I am sure those guys didn't decide on 11.5 pounds all by themselves.

Suspended without pay? Are they ****** nuts?? McNally already showed he's materialistic, how's he going to get his new size 11 kicks without a J.O.B.???? Dude's going to sing, and I can't wait for that beautiful song!!

Also, why don't we already have access to Tom's texts that were received by the other 2 stooges? Is it that Wells needed his approval to use any of his texts? I'm very confused on this one...

Hopefully bell does what he says, but i found his speech to be a bit troubling. It seemed like he was saying he was a frequent user of weed, but he could do with out it if he had to. He also seems to want to do it once he is out of football so i hope the urge is not too much to resist.
As for brady, that report is pretty crappy. Did Brady know.... Probably, but can you suspend / fine someone based on "more than likely?" ben got suspended for "looking bad" i think this situation is similar. There is no concrete proof either way. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Bell was caught driving to a team plane smoking weed, big of him to accept a punishment, oh wait he is appealing it to so what is his argument for a reduction ? He was 100% guilty while the Wells Report could not even say Brady knew for sure, he "probably " knew I'll be damned if ANY NFL player wouldn't raise a huge stink when an NFL paid investigator used such wishy washy ***** language after a 103 day investigation. The NFL is a joke anymore under Goodell.

Bell was not smoking weed at the time of the arrest. There happened to be 20 grams of weed in the car that belonged to the three men. The reason he was nailed was because he admitted to smoking weed several hours earlier and then driving.

I took it as Bell saying he doesn't use it so much that he can't put it down. As far as him using it after he is out of football, I don't really care much. As long as it's AFTER.

As for Brady, Rog has shown in the past that he can and will suspend someone for "more likely than not" or less than that in the case of Ben. But, what people are missing is this: They could have suspended him 4 games just for not being completely compliant with the investigation. Forget about the deflated balls. He hindered the investigation by not being fully compliant as he is required to be under league rules and the CBA. There's your cause for suspension.

Not similar at all. Ben was suspended when there was not enough evidence to even get a civil verdict in the favor of the DTF broad. In this case they already have two guys sending messages in writing about acts that took place. Unless you think the payment was for loosing weight. The standards of proof were met to determine liability in a civil case.

if I walk out of work today and they ask to search my bag and I say no... i can be suspended or fired... in the NFL if you decline to take a drug test, you are automatically assumed to be guilty.... they took the balls out of the refs room illicitly. Brady refused to allow them to search his phone. That is within his rights just like it is within theirs to assume he cheated at that point and suspend him... and there is precidence to back that up

Yeah, and the "deflator" is a nick name for a guy trying to lose weight... If you believe anything that comes out of the Cheats organization I have some land in Florida to sell you!

Did you guys see the Dejan piece this morning about Polamalu having a bad/broken relationship with AR2, Colber & Tomlin at the end?
That's why Troy didn't have a press conference, he simply called Dan Rooney to let him know the decision.

Saw it. Chalked the it up to "hurt feelings". If Troy believed he could still play and they didn't and Troy wanted to return and they didn't want him ... well, pro athletes are a prideful group. Also probably didn't help when they were telling the DBs last year that they had to have expanded coverage assignments because Troy couldn't cover anymore. That would definitely lead to some bad feelings.

Doubt it. ARII does not do a good job running this organization with how he has handled his coaches, apparently veterans, and with the season-ticket holders.
