The Defense

Against a team that put up 34 pts against the Seahawks D everyone wants to be like.

They are division rivals so they know the Seachickens well. The Steelers go to Seattle this year. Let's see how many points they can put up.

Gotta say I'm very encouraged by the defense the past couple weeks. Though Kaep and Foles aren't exactly great QBs, you have to start somewhere. Hopefully, the past couple games will give the players confidence and something to build on.

I'd still like to see more of Boykin.

It's getting to the point where I'm believing that they are holding him out to assure the eagles only get a 5th rounder. Or he is in the doghouse for having a bad attitude about not being a starter

Boykin only played 2 snaps this game (likely the 2 that Blake missed). Cockrell played 24. Last game it was Boykin 11, Cockrell 39.

Tuitt is an animal and doing the number 91 justice.

OLB play needs to improve. The DL has been playing well, the OLBs need to make use of it.

It's difficult to watch Tuitt play, and remember he's only a second year player who played sparingly much of last season. He is a freaking beast, and the return of McCullers will only help him get better.

exactly, how can a monster like McCullers not require extra help for the opposing center? Then you have to choose who and if you will double team another DLineman, Tuitt or Heyward? Pick your poison. Thus leaving a chance for the LBs to crash

So he won super bowls without one?? Or are we switching the standards for one coach again

Trent Dilfer is the first to come to mind. How about Brad Johnson? Where do you rank those guys ...

Cowher won a lot of games with Kordell and other horrible qbs even went to a super bowl

After tonight, this much maligned defense will be 3rd in points allowed. Let that soak in

Sometimes it takes more than 3 weeks to evaluate a new DC and his young D. Even if we are geniuses.

I think a center that is a technician will cause McCullers more problems than a physical in your face center. McCullers seems to be easily influenced into going where the center wants him to go with technique and guile, but holds his own against the center that just tries to move him one way or another. He's so tall that a technician can get under his pad level and win the leverage battle. he was a project when he was drafted, but it seems he will be a force inside as he gains experience and his own technique.

I definitely assumed you were referring to Bill Cower.

Playing the niners and Rams who's offenses look Among the worst in the league helps. Both team dropped wide open easy catches

Ok we gave up only 28 to the Patriots who then proceeded to drop 40 and 51 in their next two.
