Although I will allow that the Steelers should have given Nick Foles a game ball for being their MVP, lost in all the talk about Ben being hurt and Michael Vick playing is the fact that the efense did not allow a TD today so maybe the D is back. DL and LB's looked good, DB's mostly sucked but did manage an INT.

The D still held the rams to little points. So hats off to them for hanging in. Gotta remember the defense a year ago would have given up that lead. Wish the offense could have put up more points while Ben was healthy. A win is a win though

I've been pleasantly surprised the last two weeks with Butler. However cool shades will be in full retard mode the next 4-6 I'm also sure

Could be right. Tomlin is not the best coach in terms of rallying a team from a blow like this. The defense helped Batch and Leftwich in years past. Hope Vick has something in the tank that will make steeler nation happy

First- how many coaches are built to handle their #1 QB going down?

Second- We almost (and technically should have) made the playoffs after starting 0-4. Tomlin has certainly shown the ability to 'rally the troops'

Defense got help today by some dropped passes but overall, they did a bang up job. Every week they seem to be getting better and better which is all you can ask for. Just need Shazier back on the field with no more setbacks.

the D held the rams rushing game under a hundred yards IIRC, the front 7 controlling the LOS again

Guys like tuitt making plays on the line. Last couple games tuitt has been a beast, a sack and lead team in tackles today...awesome!

The issues with the D will be exploited by a patient and smart QB. Nick Foles is not that QB... I hope Flacco isn't either... I hope he throws jump balls into the cover two all day

Jarvis hot pushed around like a ragdoll. Oh, I saw him get an arm on a rb as he ran by once.

Yep. He is making some reads and getting to the play but just isn't making the play. As a team we still had way to many missed tackles.

So when we 3-1without Ben it was all defense now? All the blame and none of the credit. Some things never change.

Some operate without one successfully

So he won super bowls without one?? Or are we switching the standards for one coach again

The defense was, eh, okay. Not horrible, and I saw some real bright spots (I thought Tuitt, Moats, Will Allen, and Spence played well), but thankfully the Rams SUCKED today. If they would've made some catches, it would've been a different game. But I'm happy with the win, and if Ben can be back in a month, we can continue to build.

Just remember peple, we WON today. Some wins are not goinmg to be perrfecr win s. Hell as long as the score is us more than them, im happy with the win. Our "D" has been improving each week. No one can protect against a DIRTY play. it sucks, but, we have back ups for a reason. Lets hope our coaches / teams / equipment managers / everyone involved, can step up a notch and comntinue on in the above the line play.

Salute the nation

Defense played well. Now it's time to build on the success and get better. Just imagine how solid the D can be if we continue this path. Go Steelers!!!!

Good point, our pass rush is MUCH more disruptive than the past few years. I think that will only get better with the return of Shazier and McCullers.

Gotta say I'm very encouraged by the defense the past couple weeks. Though Kaep and Foles aren't exactly great QBs, you have to start somewhere. Hopefully, the past couple games will give the players confidence and something to build on.

I'd still like to see more of Boykin.

I saw Heyward fighting and getting close to the plays a couple of times, Jarvis was simply not in the stadium
