Tarvarus McFadden CB Sleeper prospect

McFadden had an outstanding sophomore year picking off 8 interceptions but his junior season those INT’s turned into pass deflections. He also ran a slow 40 which dropped his stock tremendously. Some are thinking he might have to move to safety.

His numbers are all outstanding (besides 40) and with his size he’s able to keep his man from getting into his route. He reminds me a lot of Josh Norman but bigger, and a better athlete.

I really liked Norman coming out of college and think McFadden could be that kinda player.

McFadden possess outstanding ball skills, route understanding and recognition, and at 6-2 201lbs 10 3/8” hands, 32 1/2” arms, and 78” wingspan gives him a huge coverage advantage. Also, his ability to turn his head and locate the ball is uncanny. He had a 3rd round grade until he ran 4.67 at the combine then 4.65 at his pro day. If the Steelers snagged him in the 5th I’d be happy.

He ran 4.65 at his pro day. He’s a mid 4.6 guy and I can deal with that considering his height, weight, hand size, arm length and vert. He tested off the charts everywhere but 40. And if he can’t make it at CB I think he could transition to safety. I just would give him every opportunity at CB first.

I wonder if Brian Allen will stay at CB or move to FS, would like someone with his size to play press.
