Makes for the perfect situation to give Thomas a start and see how he does. If this defense is to improve it needs to start with a strategy
that takes away teams primary tight end. This won't happen with Bostic running 3 steps behind the TE's. You need a quicker linebacker or
you need your SS up to the task.

so you're saying Peyton Barber will look more like Walter Payton next week?

I think the DEEP root of his statement is, even if we the fans know the opposition's weakness, can the steelers coaching staff instill a rightful game plan...................................................

Salute the nation

BWAhahahaha, they don't need no stinking running game

They will score 60 PASSING on this garbage defense! Sammy ******* Watkins raped them!

Keith Butler and Danny Smith should both be fired today!

This is such a poorly coached team on so many levels, the stubborn Steelers front office needs to clean house while there's still a season left.

Fitzpatrick has thrown for 819 yards and 8 TD's in his first two games.

I submit that Tampa's running game or lack thereof is 100% irrelevant. In fact, I wish they HAD a running game and wasted downs running the ball, rather than throwing it 50 times for 500 yards and multiple TD's.

Tampa is going to light our D up. Ben will need to score 40 just to have a chance.

Hello!

I've been saying that for two years now - and u can't play a 3-4 with no NT. The stiffs on the D line are soft, weak and overpaid, cut them all and buy some LB's and DB's

Probably not. So pathetic.

I've said this until I am blue in the face. But they haven't figured out this obvious point yet. Time for apathy.

If Tampa has no running game does that even matter if the Steelers have no defense?

The point of them having no running game was that it makes it a good game to play Thomas over Bostic and see what he can do in coverage.

With our pass defense you could put a traffic cone in the back field and score 40 on us throwing the ball. Any team that even bothers running the ball when they play us is dumb as ****.

that would be one helluva free agent signing for us!
do it, Mr Colbart!!!!!

some good news (maybe)

RG David DeCastro (fractured right hand), CB Joe Haden (hamstring) and DT Tyson Alualu (shoulder), who all sat out last week, could return to play against the Buccaneers.

RT Marcus Gilbert (hamstring) and LG Ramon Foster (knee) will be monitored throughout the week.

Tomlin said it's possible the team could work out punters with Jordan Berry struggling.

**** Mahomes damn near had those numbers against us alone. lol

maybe more good news

CB Joe Haden expected back for MNF

Guard David DeCastro could be in danger of missing his second straight game with a fractured hand, but tackle Al Villanueva said DeCastro will be fine after leaving the practice field in pain Wednesday. Corner Joe Haden (hamstring) should be available for Bucs. Progressing well.

Problem is he can't play his position and Burns.

Totally agree 21. It's time to put the faster, quicker Thomas on the field and see if it makes a dent. Having VWill/Bostic paired up inside has been pretty disasterous, along with having Watt and Dupree spread out covering WR's. If not Thomas, than at least rotate in one of the 7,000 safeties we have on the roster. Keeping two lumbering ILBs on the field makes little sense.

Zero run game until this one when they will put up a buck fifty on us.
